NS Train 211 with CN C40-8M #2411 Leading (Part 2)

Friday, August 22, 2014 :

211 hardly ever runs late, and NEVER runs late when it has a good consist, but today was a rare exception. The leader was CN cowl-body C40-8M #2411 in the zebra scheme. Hard for me to believe the NS allowed this thing to lead a premium intermodal train like 211, but for some reason they did. Works for me.

The 211 arrived Greenville 0800 and departed at 0828. We had Norris staked out and captured there at 0920. We chased back all the way to Atlanta and filmed the third and final time at Norcross at 1201. Did I say 1201? Yep, that's right, and the light was still very good and doable. The high-sun window is shrinking by the day!
