Welcome to Colombia
We started our trip along the Colombian Caribbean coast in the department of Atlántico. The department is located in the Caribbean region, it limits to the north by the Caribbean Sea, to the east with the Magdalena River and to the west with the department of Bolívar. We visited its capital, Barranquilla, to learn about the most important folkloric and cultural events as the Carnaval de Barranquilla, declared Masterpiece of the oral and intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2003. We also visited the tropical dry forest Luriza, 6km from Usiacurí, In this reserve, 139 species of birds have been identified. 10 specimens of amphibians, 44 of reptiles, 122 of plants and 43 of mammals, among which the red howler monkey stands out. Finally, we finished the first part of our tour along the Colombian Caribbean coast at the club Lagos de Caujaral, an excellent private club where we had the chance to play some Caribbean golf and enjoy some Colombia birding.

This video of the Islands of San Andres is one of 3 videos that we do there in these beautiful islands, we also visit the blowing Geiser.
It is a pleasure to travel this island, soon we will show images in which we go around the island by bike and visit the blowing geiser, you can also travel by bus, motorcycle, car, etc.
We will also show the hotel where we stayed with our budget (Backpackers)
These islands of San Andres are not as cheap for the visitor as are cities like Medellin, Bogota or Cali and the reason is obvious, everything must be brought from Colombia or other countries by boat or plane and the prices increase.
We announced the visit to San Andres Islands in the description of previous videos, but with longing and effort we are fulfilling.
In next videos we will visit again Medellín, Cali, Pereira and we hope to visit soon the beautiful Cartagena de indias as it is called Cartagena in Colombia to differentiate it from the original one in Spain.

Montevideo Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Uruguay is emerging as one of South America’s favorite destinations. Its capital Montevideo has a warm, temperate climate, pleasant sea breezes and miles of boulevards.
From Montevideo’s Telecommunications Tower you can see the hill that gave the city its name.
Another tower, the Palacio Salvo looms high above the Plaza Independencia in the City Center. Under this square is the mausoleum for the country’s revolutionary hero José Artigas.
Nearby Plaza Matriz is the city’s oldest square and home to the 18th-century Metropolitan Cathedral, the focal point of Uruguay’s Old Town.
Soccer is big here and in 1930 Uruguay hosted and won the first-ever FIFA World Cup in the Estadio Centenario.
Another proud local tradition is “parrilla and the best way to try it is to buy cuts of meat in the Mercado del Puerto, and have those cooked for you on the spot.
The 19-mile long promenade, La Rambla leads to the city’s favorite playground: De Los Pocitos Beach.
To the west along the river is the UNESCO-listed Old Town of Colonia del Sacramento, with its landmark lighthouse, sleepy Plaza de Armas, historic Portón de Campo and atmospheric Street of Sighs.
To the east of Montevideo, if you follow the coast, is Piriápolis. This beach resort offers great views from its hilltop San Antonio Temple.
The next highlight on this road trip is the lighthouse of La Paloma on the Cabo de Santa María peninsula.
On your way to the lighthouse of Punta del Este, don’t miss eccentric Casapueblo, a wonderful hotel and art gallery designed by local artist Carlos Páez Vilaró in Punta Ballena.
Uruguay may be small, but its big heart and relaxing vibe create a lifetime of memories.

Skyline - City of Cartagena (Colombia) - Arriving the Habour with Mein Schiff 6 / 8. Jan. 2019
The city of Cartagena, known in the colonial is a major port founded in 1533, located on the northern coast of Colombia in the Caribbean Coast Region. It was strategically located between the Magdalena and Sinú rivers and became the main port for trade between Spain and its overseas empire, establishing its importance by the early 1540s. During the colonial era it was a key port for the export of Peruvian silver to Spain and for the import of enslaved Africans under the asiento system. It was defensible against pirate attacks in the Caribbean.[3] It is the capital of the Bolívar Department, and had a population 971,592 as of 2016.[2] It is the fifth-largest city in Colombia and the second largest in the region, after Barranquilla. The urban area of Cartagena is also the fifth-largest urban area in the country. Economic activities include the maritime and petrochemicals industries, as well as tourism.
