The Hermannsdenkmal is a monument located southwest of Detmold in the district of Lippe, in Germany. It stands on the densely forested Grotenburg, sometimes also called the Teutberg or Teut, a hill in the Teutoburger Wald range. The monument is located inside the remains of a circular rampart. The monument was constructed between 1838 and 1875 to commemorate the Cherusci war chief Arminius and his victory over Rome at the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest in 9 AD. When the statue was built, its location was believed to be near the original battle site, although experts now consider it more likely that the battle took place near Kalkriese, about 100 km to the north-west.

Many European tourists come to Thailand for the nice warm climate, great variety of foods, and good hospitality.
Likewise, Europe is also a favorite destination for many Thais.
The top hit countries are France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and other nearby countries. Asian tourists usually travel to Europe for a change of climate, cooler air, good cheese and wine, sightseeing and to experience different cultures.
But besides the usual tourist spots, there are still a lot of places out there, not known to many people.

So join me on this little tour as we take you around to discover a thing or two in Europe. In the four part series, well take you to Baden Württemberg in Germany to stay at luxury hotels with gourmet dining and fine wine, small towns with cultural insights, a classic car museum, luxury car manufacturer Mercedes AMG, Mercedes Museum, a grand palace, wine making university, Film Academy, world renowned Jewelry showrooms and manufacturers, golf factory, a mineral water plant, many romantic vineyards and interesting wineries, including the oldest wine cellar in Germany, a very cute medieval town, and an aircraft Hangar.
