Rio Celeste - MOST Famous Waterfall in Costa Rica

Rio Celeste Waterfall is world famous for its bright blue water. The mixture of the volcanic minerals from multiple river sources combine to form the unique and visually stunning blue color. Even though this hike gets very crowded, you can usually get there early and avoid the masses. We explored the trail on a rainy, overcast day so the color of the river was not at its brightest.

Catarata Del Toro Waterfall Alajuela Province Costa Rica

We left Los Chorros Gracia Costa Rica heading northeast and continued north until we hit route 708. When we hit route 708 we went south down to Catarata Del Toro. Since September 2005, Catarata Del Toro is a private owned reserve of 100 hectares. Located a little north of San José Iternational airport, the reserve borders two national parks. The first park is Juan Castro Blanco, which is one of the two water parks in the world and the other is Poás.

One of the main goals of EcoOasis is to live a JOYful life. When we enjoy our lives each and every day it helps us to be more present in the moment. When the EcoOasis team gets together we are always looking for new and exciting places to inspire us. When we have a business meeting we don't just sit around the office, we want to go to spots that are going to expand our beings and our creativity. Today we're going to take you to a couple of our local waterfalls. They are truly amazing and only 10 minutes from where we live and work. They truly do inspire us! Hiking in Santa Paula Canyon to the Punch Bowls

The Santa Paula Canyon Trail to the Punch Bowls of Los Padres National Forest is one of the best hikes in Southern California. It features beautiful swimming holes, cliff jumping, a huge natural water slide and even rope swings! It's a 10 mile round trip hike to the furthest punch bowl with the slide. The area recently reopened after the devastating Thomas fire, so take extra precautions hiking through recent burn areas and keep an eye out for dead falls, rock/mud slides and potholes. Stay safe and pack out your garbage.
