Albania is well known for its Scanderbeg cognac, mentioned for its unique flavor and aroma. But the most popular and traditional of Albanian beverages is Raki. It is usually made from grapes, though there are also other kinds of raki made from plums, mulberries, and walnuts. Albania… so close to our Italy but so unknown…
We decide to fly to the capital Tirana and discover it without any goals or expectations… we soon fall in love with her ancient culture, with her mx of Islamic mosques with orthodox or catholic churches in harmony and in peace…
We move to the north, to hot Shkoder, we love the night life, the chilly life all around; before heading north along the marvelous Koman Lake, such a wonderful scenario, you feel like sailing in Norway or New Zealand… we get to Bajram Curri: border ghost town near Kosovo… no one around but such an exciting atmosphere.

Wir waren in der Hauptstadt Tirana, haben dort mindestes 100 Espresso getrunken und die 1.000 Fenster in Berat bestaunt. In Bajram Curri sind wir gestrandet und haben den Frühling in Shkodra genossen.

Udhëtim në Valbonë - Albania mountain tourism
The Valbonë or Valbona is a river in northern Albania. It is still relatively untouched. Its source is in the Prokletije, near the border with Montenegro. The Valbonë flows generally east through the municipality Margegaj (mountain villages Valbonë, Dragobi and Shoshan), then turns south along Bajram Curri, and continues southwest until its outflow into the river Drin, near Fierzë. It is one of the cleanest rivers in the country.
I don't know what it is about water color in Albania, but the Valbona River is a remarkable shade of blue. It's deep, fast moving, and very narrow in parts. I'm no expert but it looks like the perfect, untamed river for kayaking. I'm not sure if it has been run before, but I highly recommend checking it out if you're a kayaker looking to blaze new waterways. Call me though, because I want to come with you.

PUKKE ALBANIA
Pukkë ( Puka) is a town and municipality in northern Albania. It was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities Gjegjan, Pukkë, Qelëz, Qerret and Rrapë, that became municipal units. The seat of the municipality is the town Pukkë. The total population is 47,000 (2011 census), in a total area of 505.53 km2.
