The Strait of Hormuz is a strait between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. It provides the only sea passage from the Persian Gulf to the open ocean and is one of the world's most strategically important choke points. On the north coast lies Iran, and on the south coast the United Arab Emirates and Musandam, an exclave of Oman. At its narrowest, the strait has a width of 21 nautical miles .About 20% of the world's petroleum passes through the strait, making it a highly important strategic location for international trade.

Ahvaz (Persian: اهواز‎, translit. Ahvāz or Ahwaz[2]) is a city in the southwest of Iran and the capital of Khuzestan province. Ahwaz's population is about 1,300,000[3] and its built-up area with the nearby town of Sheybani is home to 1,136,989 inhabitants. It is home to Persians, Arabs, Lurs (Bakhtiaris), Dezfulis, Shushtaris, etc.[4] and different languages are spoken in it, such as Persian, Arabic,[5][6] the Persian dialects of Luri (Bakhtiari), Dezfuli, Shushtari, etc.[7]

Iran's only navigable river, the Karun, passes by the middle of the city.[8] It has a long history dating back to the Achaemenid period. In the ancient times, it had been one of the main centers of the Academy of Gondishapur.

Second trip to Iran I am still much in love with the country. This time my trip was much shorter and focusing more on the south. The video includes Shushtar, Shiraz and Hormoz island. I also visited Qeshm, but did not get enough good video from there.
