1. Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint Bandon
Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint is a state park in Bandon, Oregon, United States, administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. The rocks and tidal flats adjacent to the park form part of the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge. More than 300 species of birds frequent the area.The state acquired land over time for the 15-acre park, originally called Bandon Ocean Wayside. The initial land was a gift in 1934; the state bought additional acreage in 1961.Amenities include picnic tables, restrooms, a viewing scope, and a stairway and trail to the beach. Slightly north of Face Rock is Coquille Point, with its own parking area, benches, and hiking trail within the only mainland fraction of the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge.

Visit to Bandon Oregon Part 1 - Bullards Beach SP

On our annual return snowbird RV trip up the Oregon Coast this spring we stopped at a favorite little coastal town called Bandon Bandon-by-the-Sea.

I'm putting together a blog post about our stay which will include a 3 part video playlist showcasing the Bullards Beach State Park we stayed at, the cool little historical town district and of course the wickedly cool beach it is most famous for.

In this first video. I'll show you around the state park we camped in including an old historic lighthouse, the campground, and a hike / dog walk on a trail out to Bullards Beach.

THE BEST BEACH ON THE OREGON COAST

Where is your favorite place in the world? This remote Oregon beach might just be my all-time favorite place. After a 10 minute hike through the old growth forest, you will emerge onto a pristine stretch of sand forming a small private cove. If you can brave the cold water, paddling out on a surfboard and looking back at the remote landscape is simply magical.

Exploring the Beautiful Southern Oregon Coast (Pacific Ocean)
