We’ve found one of our favourite places on the planet (to date)! Canggu is on the Southwest coast of Bali, and is known as a digital nomad haven full of coffee shops and bars.
We spent the day exploring Canggu trying to find the best things to do in the town.

After showing off the rental we made our way into town passing by some beautiful homes on the way.
First we head to one of the more famous coffee shops in the area called Crate Cafe. Here you’ll find healthy food, and lots of coffee at a really affordable price, they also have a fair bit of artwork around.
We’d worked up an appetite at this point so we headed to a Vietnamese restaurant called Leroy’s to get some Banh Mi sandwiches.
After this we made our way through town trying to find street art. Canggu as well known for having lots of graffiti and street art around and we found an abundance.
Lastly we headed down to the beach (Batu Bolong Beach) to check it out for the first time. There are lots of beach clubs around but we just walked along the beach area to check out the surfers.

We outsourced local suppliers to ensure produce was delivered fresh daily. As the community grew, so did we. And in November 2017, we moved to our new premises to continue doing what we love.
ABOUT CANGGU
Canggu is a coastal village and 10 km beach on the south coast of Bali, Indonesia. It lies approximately 10 kilometers north of Kuta, and presents a much more relaxing atmosphere of dining, cultural and beach activities. The main Canggu streets are Jalan Batu Bolong, Jalan Padang Linjong, Jalan Batu Mejan and Jalan Tanah Barak. Along Jalan Batu Bolong you find the temple of the dead, Pura Merajapati, and the Pipitan Cemetery. Along the beach there are two main temples, Pura Batu Bolong and Pura Batu Mejan, which are both hundreds of years old and were initiated for building by Dang Hyang Nirartha. The Canggu area used to have scenic views of paddy fields and coconut groves but current rapid developments are quickly replacing these traditional views with private villas.

City Description:
Malang is a city in East Java, Indonesia. Prized by the Dutch for its mild highland climate, the city retains much of its colonial architecture. The Balai Kota building blends Indonesian and Dutch styles, and grand mansions line the main boulevard, Jalan Besar Ijen. North of the city, the Buddhist-Hindu Singosari Temple ruins are a remnant of a medieval kingdom. To the east is Mt. Bromo, a volcano with hiking trails.
Weather and Events:
The weather's generally warm year-round, though temperatures are slightly cooler in dry season (Jul–Sep), when most travelers visit. The Malang Film Festival (Apr) showcases Indonesian cinema. Sacred rituals are held at Mt. Bromo for the traditional Tenggerese Hindu festival of Yadnya Kasada (dates vary).
