OK, like all of Galicia, it has a reputation of having rainy weather, and they are right, but hey, when the sun is out, it is just amazing. So we can't guarantee good weather but we CAN guarantee excellent food, friendly people, and picturesque surroundings. Not bad!!! I invite you all to come to La Coruña, ciudad donde nadie es forastero, in other words, the city where nobody is an outsider.

Places to see in ( Galicia - Spain ) Santa Tecla Celtic Village
The settlers in Monte de Santa Tecla established a culture of hill forts, of which numerous remains still survive. This settlement was discovered in 1913 during building works for a new road. There is a predominance of circular constructions, although there are also oval and square structures with a Roman influence.
A Guarda is the most southerly coastal town in Galicia and the history of a settlement at this location dates back at least 2000 years. Although the town is becoming increasingly popular with tourists.
it is probably A Guarda's it is probably A Guarda's large and carefully restored castro, the Castro de Santa Tecla discovered in 1913, for which the town is best known. The castro complex also has a museum and visitor centre plus some trinket shops and market stalls, the latter in poor and tacky taste.

Roll #219: Bronica SQ-Ai + Ilford HP5 (Parque do Pasatempo, Betanzos)
A new roll from the Bronica, number 219, again Ilford HP5.
I took this roll at a place called Parque do Pasatempo (Pastime Park) in Betazons, A Coruña. It is a very strange park, full of figures, maps and all kind of stuff from different parts of the world. It does make for a very nice place to shoot. I will have to go back!

Places to see in ( Murcia - Spain ) Palacio Consistorial
The City Hall of Cartagena , also known as Cartagena City Hall , is one of the main modernist buildings of the city of Cartagena ( Region of Murcia ) built between 1900 and 1907, the work of the Valladolid architect Tomás Rico Valarino .
Due to the boom that reached the city in the early twentieth century , the old Herrerian town hall, from the sixteenth century , had remained small, so in 1900 began the construction of the new Palace on the land of the old, works that would end in 1907 .
It is a triangular building. The facade is made entirely of white marble , and the domes of zinc stand out on the roof . The whole exterior is decorated repeatedly with the emblems of the city: the Castle of the Conception of the shield of the city, and the mural crown , granted by the Roman general Scipio when he took the city of Carthago Nova .
In its interior it emphasizes the great imperial staircase around which are diverse municipal dependencies like the plenary hall and the office of the mayor. They are remarkable the works of foundry like columns and lamps and the collection of pictures of illustrious personages of the city from century XVIII .
Due to its construction on unstable lands gained to the sea, and to a deficient system of foundations, the building began to undergo important structural damages that led to a progressive process of ruin, reason why in 1995 the building was closed and works of restoration were undertaken .
Various legal problems with the contracting of works delayed the works for eleven years. In 2006, these works of restoration and consolidation were completed, and nowadays the building comes back to shine with the same splendor with which it was inaugurated one hundred years ago.
