Biecz is a town and municipality in southeastern Poland, in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Gorlice County. It is in the Carpathian Mountains, in the Doły Jasielsko-Sanockie, by the Ropa River. Due to its rich history, it is often referred to as little Kraków or the pearl of the Carpathians. The many preserved medieval city walls and buildings have also given rise to the nickname Polish Carcassonne. By the mid-16th century, the city was one of the largest in Poland. Muzeum Ziemi Bieckiej is a museum of local history located in the town of Biecz, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland. It has been founded in 1953 as the Muzeum Regionalne w Bieczu . In 2003 the museum was renamed to its current name. The museum has four main venues. Kromerówka is a museum dedicated to Marcin Kromer, in a Renaissance 16th century kamienica. Dom z Basztą is another 16th-century kamienica, with an exhibit about old apothecary shop, and various crafts, trades and guilds. Baszta Kowalska and Turma pod Wieżą Ratuszową form the remaining two exhibit venues.

Lake Solina is an artificial lake in the Bieszczady Mountains region, more precisely in Lesko County of the Subcarpathian Voivodship of Poland. Its coordinates are 49°22′27″N 22°27′8″E. The lake was created in 1968 by the construction of the Solina Dam on the San River. It has an area of 22 square kilometres and contains 472,000,000 cubic metres of water, making it Poland's largest artificial lake. It is the best known tourist attraction of the region, with waterside villages like Solina, Myczkowce and Polańczyk catering to watersports enthusiasts. Slavkov u Brna (in German: Austerlitz), is a country town east of Brno in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic with a population of 5,900. The town is widely known for giving its name to the Battle of Austerlitz which actually took place some kilometers to the west of the town.

Here one can see the synagogue which was built in the mid nineteenth century and has been maintained since the murder of the Jewish population nearly seventy years ago. it was renovated in 1998. After the battle of Austerlitz, a French officer went to the synagogue and requested that a rabbi said the prayer for the dead.

At the beginning of the 13th century, the Teutonic Order built a monastery stronghold whose remains can still be seen today in the vaults of the Austerlitz Palace. The first written testimony about the place date from 1237. The Czech name Slavkov is first documented in 1361, the German name Austerlitz in 1633 and is said to be a truncation of the Czech Novosedlice (Novosedlicz, Nausedlicz), which means new settlement, although this cannot be clarified definitively. After the dissolution of the Order, the town became the property of a number of noble owners until, in 1509, the local gentry family of Kaunitz assumed control for more than 400 years.
