Birtavarre is a village in the municipality of Gáivuotna-Kåfjord-Kaivuono in Troms county, Norway. The village is located along the Kåfjordelva river at the end of the Kåfjorden in the Kåfjorddalen valley in an area called Kåfjordbotn . The 0.31-square-kilometre village has a population of 214 which gives the village a population density of 690 inhabitants per square kilometre .Birtavarre is located along European route E6 about 18.3 km southeast of the municipal centre of Olderdalen and about 12.5 km southeast of Samuelsberg and Manndalen . Birtavarre Chapel is also located in the village.

13. Alta (Альта) – Tromso (Тромсё) часть 1 до парома Olderdalen 5 июля
• в 12:49 после прогулки по музею, тронулись в дальний путь.• 3:29 – остановились – красивый мост.
• 7:00 – по всей дороге очень приятные виды – сочетание буйной зелёной растительности, гор, пятен белого снега и лазурного цвета воды.
• 8:56 - типовая церковь с прилегающим к ней кладбищем, такие мы видим на протяжении всего пути в каждом селении
• 13-05 – придорожный рынок товаров народного промысла.
• 15:05 – короткая остановка, фотки.
• 18:11 – снова короткая остановка и фотки.
• 21:13 – решил остановиться - стоит ужасная жара, за бортом примерно 34° жары, сильно клонит в сон, жена уже уснула в прохладе кондиционера, а я, чтобы взбодриться, пошёл окунутся в прохладные воды северного моря. Оказывается жена была на чеку и зафиксировала моё купание на плёнку.
• 24:47 – за поворотом появился очередной симпатичный мост.
• 27:02 – понравился вид, сделал фото.
• 28:10 – на встречу попали мототуристы на байках с колясками.
• видимо сказывается арктический климат – июль месяц, стоит жара, а вокруг много снега.
• 28:37 – остановились – красивые виды, да и надо размяться.
• 29:00 – зелёная растительность в основном закончилась, горы местами покрывают пятна белого снега.
• 30:50 опять появилась зелень, видимо начался спуск.
• 31:56 – опять олени.
• 32:40 – обогнали мототуристы, у последнего – (третьего) из них очень характерная для местных байкеров посадка.
• 34:41 – часто велотуристы путешествуют с прицепами, чтобы была возможность взять с собой то, без чего они не могут обойтись, а флажки это чтобы быть заметнее на дороге.
• 36:15 – въехали в Olderdalen, значит скоро будет паромный причал.
• 37:04 – въехали на причал, местное время 17:29, а впереди ещё пол пути.
