Bjurholm is a locality and seat of Bjurholm Municipality in Västerbotten County Sweden with 968 inhabitants in 2010. It is the second smallest municipal seat in Sweden and the seat of the least populated municipality in the country. A tourist attraction in the region is Älgens Hus . Here visitors can see a tame moose and find out more about elks.There had been an earlier simple wooden church here that was built at the start of the nineteenth century. The current church is higher than the main town and it dates from 1932 when the second church that had been built in 1875 burnt down. Västerbottens museum in the Gammlia area of Umeå, Sweden is a county museum with responsibility for the cultural history of Västerbotten County. The museum consists of the Gammlia open-air museum, a ski exhibition , an exhibition of Fishing and Maritime , the popular movement archive of Västerbotten County and a number of Sami camps. The museum is working all over Västerbotten County with, amongst other things, numerous contract activities, mainly in the archaeological field. The museum produces the quarterly journal Västerbotten for the Västerbotten County district association.

Skuleskogen National Park is a Swedish national park in Västernorrland County, on the coast of the Baltic Sea, in northern Sweden. It covers 30.62 kilometres , constituting the eastern part of the Forest of Skule. The park is characterized by a very rough topology with many rocky peaks, of which the highest is Slåttdalsberget, 280 metres in altitude, rising directly from the sea. The topography is also marked by the presence of deep crevasses and caves. This particular topology can be found throughout the entire High Coast , a region of Sweden so named because it constitutes the highest section of the coast of the Baltic Sea.
