Immenstadt Tour
Immenstadt im Allgäu is a town in the Upper Allgäu, the southernmost district of Bavaria, Germany, in the German Alps. First mentioned in a 1275 administrative tract, it was granted town privileges in 1360, which makes it one of the oldest towns in the area. It was the seat of the counts of Königsegg-Rothenfels until 1804.
Located at the Northern edge of the German Alps, Immenstadt has long been a tourist destination. Visitors are drawn to the nearby mountains for hiking and skiing, and to the Alpsee lakes for swimming and boating.

- - Well, delighted to be here, first and foremost, on the final leg of the Road Show in Cork, it's been a great journey so far in Dublin and Waterford. So, expecting a good turnout this evening. So, just in terms of what I'm presenting today, it's really all about raising the profile of Qatar Airways. We launched on the 12th of Junewith a daily service, which is fantastic news for the consumers. In terms of what we're offering, it's really eastbound traffic. So, the key markets that we're looking at: Australasia, India, the Far East, and all those markets are hugely important to us. Just after we introduced our service, we had the Skytrax Awards, which are kind of an Academy Awards, if you could say, of aviation, I mean it's based on over 80 million passenger votes, and we were awarded World's Best Airline, which is the fourth time in seven years, which is a fantastic achievement for us. We also won World's Best Business Class Product, as well. So, I suppose what's really important then, and some of the key messages that I'm trying to get across today, are quality of our product is absolutely outstanding, it's World's Best. We've got some fantastic added value to the consumer, so at the moment in terms of new product offering, if you look at the likes of Australia, for example, we're introducing a new route, Canberra, in February, but if you're looking at, I mean it is a long way to go, there's no bones about it in terms of going flying from Dublin, one-stop via Doha, and what we're introducing and working in conjunction with the Qatari Tourism Authority, we have a free stopover available for customers now, where they can avail of a free night's accommodation, which is in a four or five star accommodation, which is an unbelievable offering, or they can avail of up to two nights for 100 U.S. dollars. So, that's great added value that we have for the customers.
