Dream of Italy: Full Tuscany Episode

The first episode of Dream of Italy (new PBS travel series) starts in the heart of Tuscany – Chianti – with a visit to Castello di Ama to learn how true Chianti Classico wine is produced and see the modern art that makes up the estate. The area is also famous for olive oil and we visit Pornanino to take part in the olive harvest. Nearby host Kathy McCabe meets the very special cashmere goats that Nora Kravis raises at Chianti Cashmere Farm. Then it is off to Panzano for a wild boar hunt with the La Squadra Chiantigiana and a visit with philosophical butcher Dario Cecchini. At Busatti in Anghiari, we watch 100-year-old looms craft fine fabrics. The episode ends on the captivating coast of Tuscany in Maremma with a stunning ride with the butteri (cowboys). Tuscany vlog 2017

This summer I've been to Tuscany in Italy. It was beautiful and I'm considering to live there when I'm older.

I visited Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Volterra, Florence and Bolgheri and if you get a chance to visit any of the places mentioned in the vlog I recommend all of them.

From where we stayed, I have to say, Florence was the most tiring day because we drove for over 3 hours to get to it and on the way back it was getting dark and we got lost phone signal and battery so it took nearly much longer to get back!

Fun fact: I got stung by a jellyfish the first and only time we went to the beach resulting in no footage of the beach because I was in pain!!
