The Trümmelbach Falls in Switzerland are a series of ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside the mountain made accessible by a tunnel-funicular, built 1913, stairs, and illumination. Located in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the creek called Trümmelbach alone drains the glacier defiles of Eiger , Mönch , and Jungfrau and carries more than 20,000 tons of boulder detritus per year.Its drainage area is 24 square kilometres , half of it covered by snow and glaciers. The Staubbach Fall is a waterfall in Switzerland, located just west above Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Highlands. The waterfall drops 297 metres from a hanging valley that ends in overhanging cliffs above the Weisse Lütschine.The stream, on reaching the verge of the rocky walls of the valley, forms a cascade so high that it is almost lost in spray before it reaches the level of the valley. After rain, and early in the season when fed by the melting snows, the Staubbach Fall is a very striking object. The force of the stream above the fall at such times is sufficient to carry the water clear of the precipice, and the whole mass descends in a condition of liquid dust, between spray and cloud, that sways to-and-fro with the gentlest breeze. The Reichenbach Falls are a waterfall cascade of seven steps on the creek called Rychenbach in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. They drop over a total change of altitude of about 250 metres . At 110 metres , of which the Grand Reichenbach Fall , the upper one, is by far the largest one and one of the higher waterfalls in the Alps and among the forty highest in Switzerland. The Top of Europe is a high-altitude building located in the Swiss canton of Valais. It overlooks the eternal snows of the Aletsch Glacier from the south side of the Jungfraujoch, at a height of 3,454 metres above sea level. It is connected to the underground Jungfraujoch railway station by a tunnel and to the Sphinx Observatory by an elevator. It has five levels.The Top of Europe includes several restaurants and a permanent exhibition about the Jungfrau Railway and the Alps. It also includes Europe’s highest-altitude post office. An older building includes a research station.

The Ticino is rich in waterfalls. The most spectacular one is near Foroglio in the Bavona Valley (Upper Maggia Valley). The water rushes down from a height of 110 meters and offers a spectacular sight with its foaming and splashing. The village is also very picturesque, with its houses that surround the church and recall the life of the past generations who grazed the cattle here and were only staying in the Bavona Valley from spring to autumn. To fully enjoy this natural wonder, we suggest a trip to the stone paradise around the waterfall.
Next to the waterfall is a pretty village, its houses are groupe around the 15th century church, where one can admire a triptych of the Germanic school (1553) and a painting from the end of the 18th century, originating from Rome The Virgin in the Temple. The typical stone houses used as granaries with stone supports in mushroom shape, on which the upper part is made of wood. They are ancient buildings, which are reminiscent of the rye cultivation since they were built to dry and store the grain.
In Foroglio there is also the Osteria La Froda, with a magnificent view of the waterfall. Here you can really breathe another life, look at the waterfall and eat a minestrone, a roast and polenta with cheese.

Odata cu introducerea zborului Sibiu Basel - de fapt e un aeroport care deserveste 3 tari: Franta, Germania si Elvetia - unul din noi a tocmit zborul celalalt s-a bucurat de surpriza.
Un oras relaxant, micut, dar cu multe locuri frumoase. Preturile in Elvetia sunt peste medie, dar cu putina grija totul este in regula.
