3. StrokkurGeysir Strokkur is a very reliable fountain geyser located in a geothermal area beside the Hvítá River in Iceland in the southwest part of the country, east of Reykjavík. It is one of Iceland's most famous geysers, erupting once every 6–10 minutes. Its usual height is 15–20 metres , although it can sometimes erupt up to 40 metres high. 5. LaugavegurLandmannalaugar The Laugavegur is a trekking route in South-West Iceland from the hot springs area of Landmannalaugar to the glacial valley of Þórsmörk . It is noted for the wide variety of landscapes on its 55 km path. The route is typically completed over 2–4 days with potential stops at the mountain huts at Hrafntinnusker, Álftavatn, Hvanngil and Emstrur. An ultramarathon is held on the route each July. It is possible to combine the trek with the Fimmvörðuháls route which goes over the pass from Þórsmörk to Skógar for an additional one or two days or an additional 25 km . La cascade Bruarfoss est située en Islande. Sans équivoque, c'est notre coup de coeur! Cependant, elle demeure difficile à localiser.
Nous avons dû effectuer plusieurs recherches afin d'obtenir sa localisation. Pour le moment, elle n'est pas très fréquentée. Cependant, je crois que cela va changer dans les années à venir!
Il y a un petit stationnement près du sentier qui mène à cette cascade. Lorsque nous y sommes allés, le sentier était en excellent état. Cependant, lorsqu'il pleut, des bottes sont nécessaires car le sentier devient très boueux.
Dès notre arrivée, cette cascade nous éblouit de par sa forme et son incroyable couleur d'un bleu turquoise. Elle demeurera à tout jamais gravée dans notre mémoire.
