Alright we’re about to start the night tour with Jacamar. We’re going to go for a walk on some nice trails and hopefully see some animals like frogs, different insects, snakes or even spiders.
Something very interesting about Arenal is that you can see a lot of these animals only at night so if you’re interested in that kind of wildlife, definitely put a night tour, a night walk on your list of things to do.
This place we call it Anuri. What we’re trying to do here is a new concept of a night walk something like birding, educational, where the idea is actually bring people to a real situation of walking at night into the forest where we don’t really promise like to see like too many mammals or things like that but something like the biggest thing here will be like basically amphibians, reptiles, insects, like all kinds of creatures that come out at night like bats, different kinds of spiders.
We’ll be able to find some kind nocturnal mammals like a sloth, possums, armadillos, maybe skunks and things like that but a lot of why we’re going to bring people here is to focus and talk a little bit about conservation, especially some of the species like the amphibians, to actually educate people a little bit of what’s like conservation and all those things.
We just finished the night walk, it was really cool we saw a lot of frogs, we walked around and now we’re going to enjoy some snacks but this is the Anuri night walk by Jacamar Naturalist Tours.

We just got to the start of the river tour we are a local family's house in a little town called Guatuso, it took us a little over an hour from La Fortuna to get here. So we're going to get our raft ready and get ready to go down the river and say hi to my little friend.

How to Travel COSTA RICA? [Monteverde to Arenal]
Sadly, we left Monteverde and our homey accommodation at Rainbow Valley Lodge. We wish we stayed for 1 more night, as there’s many things to see and do in Monteverde! We did the taxi-boat-taxi route to travel to Arenal. We found that it was the fastest way there.
We stayed at the Arenal Observatory Lodge, and it did not disappoint! It wasn’t the most accessible, but it is the lodge/hotel closest to the volcano. The rooms were dated and old, but the views was probably the best one we have seen in La Fortuna.
We ended off our day at one of the spas, Ecotermales. It was the perfect way to end our day!
