The canton of St. Gallen, also canton of St Gall , is a canton of Switzerland. The capital is St. Gallen. Located in Northeastern Switzerland, the canton has an area of 2,026 km2 and a resident population close to half a million as of 2015 . It was formed in 1803 as a conflation of the city of St. Gallen, the territories of the Abbey of St. Gall and various former subject territories of the Old Swiss Confederacy.

It is used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of FC St. Gallen of the Swiss Super League. It replaces the Espenmoos stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 people. Between 2008 and 2016 the stadium was named after the sponsor Arbonia-Forster-Gruppe . In July 2016 the name was changed to kybunpark.When it was completed, FC St. Gallen had just been just relegated to the Challenge League.
