The canton of St. Gallen, also canton of St Gall , is a canton of Switzerland. The capital is St. Gallen. Located in Northeastern Switzerland, the canton has an area of 2,026 km2 and a resident population close to half a million as of 2015 . It was formed in 1803 as a conflation of the city of St. Gallen, the territories of the Abbey of St. Gall and various former subject territories of the Old Swiss Confederacy.

There are five mountain lakes on Pizol: Wangsersee at Pizolhütte, Wildsee, Schottensee, Schwarzsee and Baschalvasee . A small cirque glacier, the Pizolgletscher, lies above 2,600 metres on the northern side of the mountain. Pizol Hut lies at 2,227 metres .

    The Rhine Falls is the largest waterfall in Switzerland and Europe.The falls are located on the High Rhine on the border between the cantons of Schaffhausen and Zürich , between the municipalities of Neuhausen am Rheinfall and Laufen-Uhwiesen/Dachsen , next to the town of Schaffhausen in northern Switzerland. They are 150 metres wide and 23 metres high. In the winter months, the average water flow is 250 m3/s , while in the summer, the average water flow is 600 m3/s . The highest flow ever measured was 1,250 cubic metres per second in 1965; and the lowest, 95 cubic metres per second in 1921.The falls can not be climbed by fish, except by eels that are able to eel their way up over the rocks.

Since then transport passes work in both resorts. The official language of Arosa is German, but the main spoken language is the local variant of the Alemannic Swiss German dialect. The resort is known throughout Switzerland for its famous ice hockey team, the EHC Arosa which used to be one of the most successful teams in the country.

    Lake St. Moritz is a lake at St. Moritz, Switzerland. With a surface of 0.78 km², it is smaller than the main lakes of the Upper Engadin valley . Every January or early February, Polo matches are held on the lake. Compared to polo played in the summer, a slightly larger and lighter red ball is used that is easily visible in the snow. For three weekends every February, horse races are held on the frozen lake. This races called White Turf are held since 1907 and brings the wealthy tourists to the lake for champagne and betting. This is also the location, where sports enthusiasts invented the sport of skijoring. In this type of race, thoroughbred horses compete without riders on their backs, but instead skiers in tow.
