March 2013 railfanning
Here are a few clips from my March 2013 railfanning. A note to viewers. My main objective when I go railfanning is to take pictures. Quite often the opportunity calls for a video. I usually capture a video when a train is coming in the opposite direction than I was going to photograph. This video includes 4 clips. Clip 1: An eastbound train near the Vermillion Lakes in Banff. Clip 2: An eastbound train crossing the small bridge west of the level crossing near the Banff train station. Clip 3: A westbound train near Ogden Rd. in Calgary. This train caught my attention while driving down Shepard Rd. It caught my attention for a couple of reasons. First, it had 5 locomotives, one of which was CP 8888. Trains with 5 locomotives aren't seen a lot. I'm assuming it did because most of this train was auto racks. That's the other reason it caught my attention. I had never seen a train with so many auto racks before. Clip 4: An eastbound train near the Calgary East (Indus) grain elevator. I like this video except for it going out of focus just as the train passed. I guess having the headlight glare right into the camera will do that.
Hote Investment Opportunity In Scotland With 10% ROI (Fractional) - Price: £30,000
Set in one of the UK's most important historic castles and offering 10% annual returns on investment, this hotel investment opportunity in Scotland offers investors a chance to own and earn from a piece of this stunning multi-million pound restoration. It's not often that the chance to own a piece of Scottish heritage becomes available for property investors to consider!
We are thrilled about this property ownership investment with the foundations of this incredible project going back deep into Scottish history. Originally dating from the 16th century, this early 1800s castle and buildings have been lavishly decorated with no expense spared. Artisan carvings, plasterwork and murals, medieval stained glass and Renaissance woodwork show the quality to be found throughout this amazing building. As the honeymoon destination of Queen Victoria, there are long-standing Royal connections to be found in the castle's history.
This Scottish hotel investment has an 18-hole golf course that was created in 1925 by famous designer and five times Open Championship winner James Braid. He designed similarly famous courses including Gleneagles (host of the Ryder Cup in 2014) and Carnoustie. The River Tay which is the longest river in Scotland runs through the estate and is one of the UK's finest salmon fishing rivers and best water sporting rivers.
This hotel investment opportunity is truly unique.!
The first stage of the project is to create eight renovated luxury rooms set within the actual walls of the castle. Complete with views across the estate and opulent en-suite facilities, these high specification properties complement the existing surroundings and will form part of the hotel accommodation.
The walls of the castle where the rooms are situated were created in 1818-19 by William Atkinson, known for his work on Chequers (the British Prime Minister's country house retreat), Scone Palace and Abbotsford. Original features have been retained where possible and the latest materials have been used to ensure external sound is kept to a minimum and everything is secure.
By owning the freehold to a suite here, you really will be owning a slice of history.
This property is located at the gateway to the snow-capped Scottish Highlands, just a couple of minutes' drive from the pretty village of Kenmore and Loch Tay itself, the Retreat is just over an hour away from Edinburgh.
