Cebu is the oldest city of Philippines and the second after Manila as a famous and important metropolitan city. The city is referred to as the playground of the country because it is located close to the exotic white sand beaches and crystal blue water. It has some of the finest diving spots in the world and is the paradise for those who seek adventure and love nature. This has made it one of the most favorite tourist destinations in Philippines.
The Cebu city and island accommodates tourist at well maintained hotels, apartments on rental and at beach resorts. The various tourist destinations in Cebu are Maribago, Guitar center, Mactan Island, Last supper, Chapel in Mandaue city, Carcar tong, Fort San Pedro and Magellan cross. There are various wild life sanctuaries. You will find them at the Central Cebu National Park and the Sudian National Park. For diving and water adventures you can visit the Bolok-Bolok mineral springs and the Kawasan Falls.
When you are in Cebu, you should not miss the magnificent coral formations and crystals blue sea water. You can indulge in an exciting range of water sports activities such as deep sea fishing, boat sailing, jet skiing, wind surfing, snorkeling and swimming. You can also laze around at the beaches under the sun and get a beautiful tan on your skin.
For viewing beautiful sceneries you can visit metro Cebu and the islands of Olango and Macton. You can spend the day visiting various museums at Cebu such as Quijano Museum, Rizaliana Museum and Casa Gorodo Museum. You can also visit a few of the islands in the close vicinity such as Badian Moalboal, Carmen Oslob and Argao. Some of them are known for the best dive spots. There are well established shopping centers in Cebu that will provide you with local handicrafts, hand woven cloth, and jewelry and rattan furniture.
