In this video, I head into Caseville, MI, located in the northwestern part of the Thumb of Michigan. I check out the downtown area including sights of the Pigeon River. Later, I visit the county park with great views of the Saginaw Bay (Lake Huron).

Cheeseburger is a festival in tribute to Jimmy Buffet, and different types of cheeseburgers. The 10-day long festival takes place in the final weeks of August, celebrating the final weeks of summer vacation. Activities at the festival range from sandcastle making to concerts and laser light shows on the beach. The 2013 festival will be held August 9-18.
Let's Visit Mackinaw City, MI
Mackinaw City, MI is my first stop in my 3 day, 2 night road trip to the Upper Peninsula. Mackinaw City is at the northernmost tip of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. The two peninsulas are connected by the 5 mile long Mackinac Bridge which can be seen in the end of the video. I show the downtown shopping area of Mackinaw City, the Mackinaw City Crossings, and the bridge itself with views of Mackinac Island and Lake Huron (the Straits of Mackinac to be specific).
I would like to head back to the Mackinac area in the future to cover Mackinac Island, the Mackinac Point lighthouse, and Fort Michilimackinac.
Let's Visit Port Austin, MI
In this video, I head up to Port Austin, MI, located near the tip of the Thumb of Michigan. I check out the downtown area as well as walk out on the pier reaching out into Lake Huron. You can also see a distant breakwater lighthouse from afar.

Let's Visit Seven Lakes State Park
In this video, I head out to Seven Lakes State park located near Holly, MI. I check out some of the trails leading to Dickinson Lake, one of the seven lakes in the park. Later, I check out some of the areas around Big Seven Lake, the largest lake in the park.
Fun Fact: It was unusually cold for May that day as the temperatures were in the mid 40s and I saw a few sleet pellets especially at the beginning of the video.
Let's Visit St. Ignace, MI
After crossing the Mackinac Bridge, I head out to St. Ignace, MI. I first check out Castle Rock which provides a spectacular view of the St. Ignace area. You can also get a great view of the bridge from the very top. Later, I head into downtown St. Ignace as well as a bridge view park along Lake Michigan.
Let's Visit Lexington, MI
Lexington, MI is a popular destination along the shores of Lake Huron in the Thumb region of Michigan. Lexington has a nice but small downtown area with quite a few restaurants, and it also has a nice lakeside park with a pier heading out into Lake Huron.

15th Annual Cheeseburger in Caseville
Cheeseburger in Caseville: It's wild, it's wacky, and lots of fun for families and kids. 10 big days of food, races, parades, games, and music. Started in 1999, this festival has grown from a weekend event drawing a few hundred people to an enormous 10 day party with attendances now in the 200,000 range.
