This Rock House is located in Fafe Mountain, 10 km northeast of the center of the county, in the direction of Cabeceiras de Basto.
Its construction began in 1974 and lasted about two years, being a rural residence, used by its owners as a holiday house.
This Rock House integrates completely into its surrounding countryside. Its construction is entirely made of rock, with the exception of doors, windows and roof.
The interior also has a rustic style, where the furniture, stairs and handrails are made of logs.
It has aroused the curiosity of many tourists throughout the world, given its originality and beauty.
It does not have any electrical installation.
A Casa do Penedo localiza-se na Serra de Fafe, a 10 km a nordeste do centro da sede de concelho, em direcção a Cabeceiras de Basto.
A sua construção foi iniciada em 1974 e durou cerca de dois anos, tratando-se de uma residência rural, utilizada pelos seus proprietários como destino de férias.
A Casa do Penedo integra-se completamente na sua paisagem rural envolvente. A sua construção é inteiramente feita em rocha, à excepção das portas, janelas e telhado.
O interior apresenta também um estilo rústico, onde a mobília, as escadas e os corrimãos são feitos de troncos.
Tem despertado a curiosidade de muitos turistas ao longo do mundo, face a sua originalidade e beleza.
Não possui qualquer instalação eléctrica.

Een top 20 van bezienswaardigheden en activiteiten in Noord-Portugal:
1. Porto
De prachtige hoofdstad van Noord-Portugal heeft geen introductie meer nodig, maar houd u er rekening mee dat wanneer u Porto bezoekt, u een voorproefje krijgt van wat het noorden te bieden heeft.
2. Guimarães
Guimarães is de geboorteplaats van Portugal, de plaats waar het land is geboren dankzij Dom Afonso Henriques, de eerste koning van Portugal. Deze stad heeft een historisch centrum met een ongelooflijke charme.
3. Braga

5. Ponte de Lima

Het natuurpark van Montesinho was mijn grootste verrassing tijdens mijn reis door het noorden van Portugal. Ik was gefascineerd door de schoonheid van het landschap, de vriendelijkheid van de inwoners en de schoonheid van de kleine dorpen, waarvan sommige nog steeds gemeenschappelijk zijn.
Geniet van het bezoek aan het park om het historische centrum van de stad Bragança te bezoeken.
8. Miranda do Douro
Miranda do Douro ligt in het natuurpark van Douro Internacional en heeft het kenmerk van twee officiële talen, Portugees en Mirandese.
