The Vanderbilt Lane Historic District is a small area along the street of the same name, just east of US 9 in Hyde Park, New York, United States. It was used for the farm functions of the nearby estate of Walter Langdon and, later, Frederick Vanderbilt. Most of its buildings date to the turn of the 20th century, with one remaining from the 1830s. Many of its buildings and infrastructure remain intact. It is one of only two estate farm complexes on the east side of the Hudson that has not been razed and redeveloped. In 1993 it was recognized as a historic district and added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Hotel Review - Howard Johnson Virginia Beach

Where do I even start? Well, I had a reunion with friends to attend out in Norfolk back in February, and there wasn't room for me in the apartment. I had a few low-value Welcome Rewards nights (free nights form the Hotels.com loyalty program), so I used them on this place. I went in knowing that it wouldn't be great. After all, my personal rule for budget hotels is that they meet just 2 simple criteria: Safety and cleanliness. Unfortunately, this hotel failed at both. This meant that I had to change rooms TWICE, a new personal record for me. I took the whole thing with a sense of humor (in all honesty, I love making videos that document these sorts of issues). I've even added a runny tally of all the major issues with the hotel that appears on the left side of the screen. Hope you enjoy the video!
