Apartments and rooms for Rent Agriturismo Fattoria Rozzalupi Cerreto Guidi Tuscany Italy
The estate lies in the heart of the Tuscan countryside in the municipalities of Vinci and Cerreto Guidi. It is situated within the area known as the ‘Terre del Rinascimento’ – the Renaissance lands. The history of the estate does in fact date back to the Renaissance period, as shown by documents from the period contained in the historic archives of Cerreto Guidi, which can also be consulted on our estate. The land currently occupied by the estate was covered in ancient times by dense, impenetrable forest which earned it the name of ‘Chiuso di Rozzalupi’, loosely translatable as ‘wild wolf territory’.Documents indicate that the property was acquired in the Renaissance period by the Adimari, a well-known and wealthy Florentine family, who extended the property, built the villa and used it as a base for hunting. The character of the estate has remained much the same since then, as can be seen in the fine, well-preserved hunting hut in the woods of the estate and a small building used as a shelter for call-birds, after which the wood itself – Uccelliera – has been named. The Fattoria Rozzalupi has preserved its structure as a small Tuscan agricultural settlement consisting of the estate-owner’s villa and two farmhouses (coloniche) facing onto a traditional aia or farmyard. All the apartments have been carefully renovated so as to respect the authentic Tuscan rustic style. However, we have not forgotten modern comforts, and each apartment is equipped with satellite TV, and microwave. There is also direct access to a marvellous 8- by 12-metre swimming pool. All this makes for a wonderful holiday, enhanced by the pleasure of staying in apartments that have been finely furnished with antique furniture and according to old Tuscan traditions.

Strawberries Over A Chardonnay Risotto in Italy's Piedmont Region
Of the many places to visit in Italy, an agriturismo in the Piedmont wine region should rank at the top one's travel list. Tricia and I had the phenomenal opportunity to stay at the Agriturismo Tenuta La Romana. Situated amidst the UNESCO-protected Monferrato hills, this agriturismo also features a restaurant onsite, La Riserva del Gusto, that showcases the region's freshest, local ingredients.
In this episode, we dine al fresco and enjoy a multi-course culinary extravaganza, complete with a bubbly red Barbera wine, strawberry risotto, grilled beef, and a delicious fruit dessert. We look forward to getting back to Pastoral Piedmont!
