Chambersburg is a borough in and the county seat of Franklin County, in the South Central region of Pennsylvania, United States. It is in the Cumberland Valley, which is part of the Great Appalachian Valley, and 13 miles north of Maryland and the Mason-Dixon line and 52 miles southwest of Harrisburg, the state capital. The Capitol Theatre Center is a theater located at 159 South Main Street in downtown Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, located midway between Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and Hagerstown, Maryland. The Capitol Theatre Center opened as a movie theater on February 3, 1927. Following renovations in 1996 the Capitol now operates as a community arts center. It is funded through the Capitol Theatre Center Foundation. The Capitol Theatre Center is one of the few theaters in the United States to still have its original organ, a Möller theater pipe organ. The Capitol Theatre Center is the home of all performances done by the Chambersburg Community Theatre.

John Brown's raid on Harpers Ferry was an effort by armed abolitionist John Brown to initiate an armed slave revolt in 1859 by taking over a United States arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia. Brown's party of 22 was defeated by a company of U.S. Marines, led by First Lieutenant Israel Greene. Colonel Robert E. Lee was in overall command of the operation to retake the arsenal. John Brown had originally asked Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass, both of whom he had met in his transformative years as an abolitionist in Springfield, Massachusetts, to join him in his raid, but Tubman was prevented by illness and Douglass declined, as he believed Brown's plan would fail.

California to New York: A Complete Road Trip

This is a complete road trip compilation from Santa Monica, California to New York City over eight different days from June-September, 2017 - all recorded in time-lapse at 4fps (nearly 100,000 frames total). Of the 3,253 miles (5,235 kilometers) driven, about 3 miles of this drive is missing, mostly in Colorado near Poncha Springs. Nearly all of this drive was done in daytime, but there is about 10 minutes of this video done in darkness in Arizona (about 1:00:00 to 1:10:00). The weather was good for the most part, except from Pennsylvania all the way to the Bronx, before clearing up in Manhattan. This trip also includes driving through the solar eclipse of August 21 in Nebraska (at about 3:30:00), as well as driving over the old Tappan Zee Bridge in upstate NY, which permanently closed a month later with the opening of the new Mario M Cuomo Bridge adjacent to it.

Awake before the morning light, I decided to take a drive near my home in hope of getting some last minute footage of the fall leaves in Pennsylvania. A bitter cold, frostly morning awaited...Such is fall in Pennsylvania. The late summer came and went too fast. With an early October snow, fall is here in all her glory. Filmed with a Sony HDR-CX130 and GoPro HD.
