Puebla CIty Guide - Mexico Best City - Travel & Discover
Puebla de los Ángeles was founded in 1531 in an area called Cuetlaxcoapan, which means where serpents change their skin, in between of two of the main indigenous settlements at the time, Tlaxcala and Cholula. This valley was not populated in the 16th century as in the pre-Hispanic period; this area was primarily used to the flower wars between a number of populations.

one of the most beautiful places in mexico
Las Grutas de Tolantongo may be Hidalgo's best secret - mountainside thermal water pools, caves, and a turquoise river!
►Subscribe to our channel!
It's our first time in the Mexican state of Hidalgo and we're driving deep into a canyon to experience the thermal water pools and mysterious Grutas de Tolantongo. We could not have been more excited to experience the magic of this canyon paradise in person and it did not disappoint. Despite the cold temperatures in Hidalgo at this time of year, we happily soaked in the therapeutic properties of the thermal waters in the mountain.
In this Mexico travel vlog, we also experience the turquoise-colored river of Tolantongo. We found out that it has this beautiful color because of the minerals in the water. On our last day in Grutas de Tolantongo, we made the grand finale a trip to the main gruta, or grotto in English. Again, Tolantongo did not disappoint us with this mysterious cave filled with the source of the warm thermal waters. It was the perfect experience for another cold morning in Hidalgo.
Also in this travel Mexico vlog, we include:
1. How much hotels cost at Grutas de Tolantongo
2. Entry fees and parking prices in Tolantongo
3. Tips for visiting Grutas de Tolantongo Hidalgo
4. Important information for traveling to Tolantongo
5. What we will do differently when we return to this canyon paradise.
This was one of those Mexico experience that really made us say, WOW, Mexico is amazing and it never ceases to amaze us. Does this Mexico travel vlog make you want to visit? If you get the chance, we highly recommend visiting Grutas de Tolantongo and we don't think you'll be sorry you did.
