Italy - Lucca (Tuscany)

During our stay in Florence we took a day trip to Lucca in the area known as Tuscany. Lucca was founded by the Etruscans and became a Roman colony in 180 BC. After a pleasant train ride to this ancient walled city we spent the day walking through the town and along the wall that surrounds it. We also spent some time in the town square so Tina could draw & I could people watch and take some photos. This was one of only a couple of rainy days we had on the whole trip and the rain was for short periods. You will notice that this album does not have the bright sunny scenes found in the others. It was a delightful town and we enjoyed the day a great deal.
