Cremona is a city in Italy’s Lombardy region. The Stradivarius collection at the Violin Museum testifies to the city’s violin-making heritage. On Piazza del Comune are the Cremona Cathedral, with its Renaissance arcade, and the 8-sided Baptistery. Also on the square, the Torrazzo bell tower has an astronomical clock. The portico of the 13th-century Loggia dei Militi has a statue of 2 Hercules figures.
Making violins is a passion in Cremona, the ancient Italian town that has been producing them since the 16th century, but turning passion into profits has not been easy. Cremona, in northern Italy, has more than 100 workshops making violins and other stringed instruments for musicians worldwide, following in the tradition of its great violin-makers which have included Antonio Stradivari and Nicolo Amati.
Cremona is a city and comune in northern Italy, situated in Lombardy, on the left bank of the Po River in the middle of the Pianura Padana (Po Valley). It is the capital of the province of Cremona and the seat of the local city and province governments. The city of Cremona is especially noted for its musical history and traditions, including some of the earliest and most renowned luthiers, such as Giuseppe Guarneri, Antonio Stradivari, and several members of the Amati family.

Cremona has a distinguished musical history. The 12th-century cathedral was a focus of organized musical activity in the region in the late Middle Ages. By the 16th century the town had become a famous musical centre. Nowadays there are important ensembles for Renaissance and Baroque music, i.e. Choir & Consort Costanzo Porta, and festivals which maintain Cremona as one of the most important towns in Italy for music. Composer Marc'Antonio Ingegneri taught there; Claudio Monteverdi was his most famous student, before leaving for Mantua in 1591. Cremona was the birthplace of Pierre-Francisque Caroubel, a collaborator with noted German composer Michael Praetorius. The bishop of Cremona, Nicolò Sfondrati, a fervent supporter of the Counter-Reformation, became Pope Gregory XIV in 1590. Since he was an equally fervent patron of music, the renown of the town as a musical destination grew accordingly.

Novigrad Istria Croatia 2017
➤”Novigrad (Italian: Cittanova or Cittanova d'Istria) is a town and a municipality in Istria County in western Croatia. In Croatian, it is also sometimes referred to as Novigrad Istarski to distinguish it from three other Croatian towns of the same name.
Novigrad is set on a small peninsula on the western coast of Istria, two kilometers north of the mouth of the river Mirna and some 25 km south of the border with Slovenia. At the 2011 census, the town proper had a population of 2,622, while the entire municipality – which also includes four nearby villages – had 4,345 inhabitants. 66% of the population were ethnic Croats while the biggest minority group were Istrian Italians (10%).
There was an ancient city in the broad area of what is now Novigrad, which was called Aemona. In the 5th-6th centuries, Novigrad was called Neapolis (Greek Νεάπολις). From the early Middle Ages and right up until 1828 it was the seat of the Diocese of Novigrad, which has been identified with the Ancient see of Aemona and nominally restored as Latin Catholic titular see under both names. From 1270 it was under the rule of the Venetian Republic, which gave it the Italian name of Cittanova, until Venice fell in the late 18th century.”

Places to see in ( Modena - Italy ) Panini Motor Museum
One of the most beautiful collections of Maseratis is hosted in a typical farm house located in Cittanova di Modena.
West (company belonging to the Panini family) has been entrusted with safeguarding the Maserati Collection - which has been painstakingly built over the course of the years - and the cars which mark some of the most important moments of its history.
The Maserati Collection was first established by the Maserati brothers and was later expanded by Omar Orsi. It has remained almost intact to this day. It currently includes 23 motor vehicles, which are regularly on display, and 3 vehicles which are undergoing restoration.
The Collection contains a number of cars of great value for Maserati, partly because of their unique nature: such as the 6CM from 1936, of which only 27 were made and which dominated European races in the vetturette category and won the Targa Florio, and the A6GCS Berlinetta Pinifarina, of which only 4 were made and which won the Mille Miglia for its category three times with its barchetta design.
Equally important are the Tipo 61 Birdcage - with its exceptional frame comprised of 200 tubes in special alloy welded together for an overall frame weight of 36 kg and its distinctive Drogo bodywork - and the Maserati 420M58 - the famed Eldorado used by Stirling Moss in his battle for one of the top spots during the Monza 500 Miglia.
