Cascate di Cittiglio

Cittiglio is a comune in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 60 kilometres northwest of Milan and about 15 kilometres northwest of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,817 and an area of 11.5 square kilometres . The town is known as the birthplace of Alfredo Binda, a world-class bicycle racer in the 1920s and 1930s. Cittiglio borders the following municipalities: Brenta, Caravate, Castelveccana, Gemonio, Laveno-Mombello. The elite women's professional road bicycle racing event Trofeo Alfredo Binda-Comune di Cittiglio is held annually here.

Hidden Waterfalls near Venice - Escape the Tourists! // Travel Italy Guide

This national park is the perfect place to get away from all the tourists. Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park is a secluded gem filled with waterfalls and rock pools that apparently only the locals know about. It's only a couple of hours away from Venice so I would HIGHLY recommend ditching the crowded city if you have a car.

We were practically alone for the first half of the day until an Italian family arrived with their dog. Such a cute doggo too!

CITTIGLIO FALLS - ITALY

The three waterfalls Cittiglio,
reached by a trail starting from the old part of town, are formed by the river S.Giulio and placed at altitudes between 324 and 474 meters in height in a natural forest of striking beauty. The path of the river before reaching the town, passes through the winding lines that invite sudden jumps in the water.
