Clackamas County is a county in the U.S. state of Oregon. As of the 2010 census, the population was 375,992, making it Oregon's third-most populous county. Its county seat is Oregon City. The county was named after the Native Americans living in the area, the Clackamas Indians, who were part of the Chinookan people. The Francis Ermatinger House is located in Oregon City, Oregon, United States. Built by Francis Ermatinger in 1845, it is the oldest house in Clackamas County. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, and has been operated as a museum.Built in the Greek Revival style, the house was originally located near the Willamette River, in the downtown area near Willamette Falls. Mount McLoughlin is a steep-sided stratovolcano, or composite volcano, in the Cascade Range of southern Oregon and within the Sky Lakes Wilderness. It is one of the volcanic peaks in the Cascade Volcanic Arc, within the High Cascades sector. A prominent landmark for the Rogue River Valley, the mountain is north of Mount Shasta, and Crater Lake lies to the northwest. It was named around 1838 after John McLoughlin, a Chief Factor for the Hudson's Bay Company. McLouglin's prominence has made it a landmark to Native American populations for thousands of years. McLoughlin consists largely of basaltic andesite. It underwent three major eruptive periods before its last activity took place between 30,000 and 20,000 years ago. Fort Vancouver National Historic Site is a United States National Historic Site located in the states of Washington and Oregon. The National Historic Site consists of two units, one located on the site of Fort Vancouver in modern-day Vancouver, Washington; the other being the former residence of John McLoughlin in Oregon City, Oregon. The two sites were separately given national historic designation in the 1940s. The Fort Vancouver unit was designated a National Historic Site in 1961, and was combined with the McLoughlin House into a unit in 2003.

Mirror Lake is a mountain lake in Clackamas County of the U.S. state of Oregon. It is located at the foot of Tom Dick and Harry Mountain in a natural catchment formed by a toe of the mountain, 11.4 kilometers (7.1 mi) southwest of Mount Hood, and 3.1 kilometers (1.9 mi) WSW of Government Camp within Mount Hood National Forest.

It is among the most popular day hikes in the Mount Hood area,[2] and a popular Nordic skiing destination. Its 800-foot (240 m) elevation gain in 1.4 miles (2.3 km) is considered an easy hike.

Oregon City was established at Willamette Falls on the Willamette River in 1829 by John McLoughlin for the Hudson's Bay Company, to utilize the power of the falls to operate a lumber mill. In 1844, Oregon City became the first incorporated city west of the Rocky Mountains, and was considered the final stop of the Oregon Trail. The Oregon City Bridge, designed by Conde B. McCullough, is a steel half-through arch structure constructed in 1922 (although it appears to be a concrete arch due to the gunite concrete coating over the steel arch members).

CLACKAMAS RIVER. We traveled to Clackamas, Oregon and decided to hike off trail along the Clackamas river. We went swimming in the freezing Clackamas river. Also when you are adventuring off trail it is very important to always bring a rope, and in this video you can see why!

The Willamette Falls is a natural waterfall on the Willamette River between Oregon City and West Linn, Oregon, in the United States. It is the largest waterfall in the American Pacific Northwest by volume and the seventeenth widest in the world.[1] Horseshoe in shape, it is 1,500 feet (460 m) wide and 40 feet (12 m) high with a flow of 30,849 cu ft/s (874 m³/s), located 26 miles (42 km) upriver from the Willamette's mouth.
