Room Review: Courtyard Marriott Gettysburg, PA, 09/10/10
Rom 218. Handicap accessible b/c we want an adjoining room with friends we travel with. Nice, clean new hotel--three solid stars. Great staff: friendly and proactive/helpful. A tasty breakfast buffet for two came with our 159 a night rate. We're here for the Wine and Music Festival, which starts on Sat, goes to Sun, from noon to 6 pm on both days. The hotel throws in two tickets for the festival at this rate. There are two very good restaurants right next door to the hotel--an Italian and an American. We ate at the Italian--a little pricey but very good atmosphere, food quality, and service, so it was worth it. There's a Wyndham next door. This whole Gateway complex is right where Routes 15 and 30 meet. It's convenient to all the battlefields and downtown. Various busses come by the lobby all day, but parking, during the non-busy weekends, is not a problem in G'burg.
