Lago di TOBLINO e castello, lake and castle * trentino italy *
Toblino lake and its Castle are located near Trento (Italy).
Soundtrack: Through the Eyes of Love by Emile Pandolfi (piano)
Il brano al pianoforte è la versione strumentale della canzone Attraverso gli occhi dell'amore, tema del film Ice Castles del 1978 .....e tema dell'altro mio video sul lago di Toblino.
20km hike from Italy to Austria. Gsies Sud-Tirol Casies Santa Maddalena, Italy
We're visiting one of our favourite places on earth, the Italian village of Santa Maddalena, only a few kilometres south of the Austrian border. Mind you, everything here is in German, and you feel like you're in Austria. It's one of the most beautiful regions on earth. When here, we love taking day-long hikes in the mountains. Today we started at an elevation of 1300 metres above sea level, and hiked up to one of the summits at 2552 metres above sea level, then hiked down on the Austrian side. One of the toughest hikes I've gone on yet... as is evident throughout the video (Risa barely broke a sweat... sigh.)

Note: Some ask me about the MicroSD cards I use (they're a pain sometimes, if you choose the wrong one, from an unreliable brand, etc). There's little worse than spending a day getting once a in a lifetime shots, and coming home only to see issues with the data (corrupt files, card errors, etc). Both cards I use above I stand by: I've not had any issues with either (2 years on the Sony Camera, and 1 year on the Mavic Air).

About Us: I'm PJ. My partner, inspiration, trainer, chef, and moral compass, Risa, are what we (reluctantly) refer to as, digital nomads. I say, reluctantly, as I've been living the digital nomad lifestyle for about 15 years now (long before the term was coined, and became the cheesy trend it is today. It seems that everyone these days on vacation with a laptop, a pina colada next to them, Avicii on their headphones, and a dozen memory sticks filled with selfies now considers themselves a (don't forget the hashtag) digital nomad.
I started out at age 19.
I quit my job at the time, to focus on the then still relatively unknown arbitrage business model as applied on eBay. Long story short, I saw an opportunity, invested all I had in it (time + money) and by my early 20s, I no longer had any interest in returning to Canada (where I grew up). I bounced mostly around Asia, for many years (all the usual nomad hotspots: Thailand, Vietnam, S. Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, with a preference for Japan (lived all over Japan, from Tokyo, to the most remote Japanese islands in the Pacific). In late 2013, one of my returns to Tokyo, I met a captivating young woman, Risa, who helped me to re-calibrate my high-flyin', rock-star lifestyle and regain focus. Within a few months of meeting, she elected to quit her job in Tokyo and joined me on this nomadic journey.
This channel, will document our perpetual traveller lifestyle. It's not always easy, it's not always fun. There are highs and lows. Sometimes money is very tight, other times it seems like it's the least of our worries. But when done right, the digital nomad lifestyle is a journey unlike any other.
Over the last few years, we generally stay off the beaten path and instead venture into areas seldom spoken about in digital nomad circles. You won't see us visiting Bali, Saigon, or Bangkok. Been there, got the SIM card, and still feel a bit hungover. As we travel, we focus on personal growth, on disconnecting, unlearning, and thus thriving. We attempt to engage in philanthropy when we can. We respect the cultures kind enough to allow us to visit their land and their homes. Feel free to send us feedback, comments, suggestions.
Thank you for taking an interest in our journey. More videos of exotic places, stories, and people, will be uploaded weekly. As a demonstration of my gratitude to you for taking an interest in us, I will continue improving the quality of the content I create for you on a regular basis.
PJ, and Risa

Reggio Calabria - italy
See the best accommodations Reggio di Calabria or Reggio in Southern Italy, is the biggest city and the most populated comune of Calabria, Southern Italy, is the capital of the Province of Reggio Calabria and is the seat of the Regional Council of Calabria.
Reggio is located on the toe of the Italian Peninsula and is separated from the island of Sicily by the Strait of Messina. It is situated on the slopes of the Aspromonte, a long, craggy mountain range that runs up through the center of the region. The third economic center of mainland Southern Italy, the city proper has a population of more than 185,000 inhabitants spread over 236 square kilometres (91 sq mi), while the fast-growing urban area numbers 260,000 inhabitants. About 560,000 people live in the metropolitan area, recognised in 2009 by Italian Republic as a metropolitan city.
As a major functional pole in the region, it has strong historical, cultural and economic ties with the city of Messina, which lies across the strait in Sicily, forming a metro city of less than 1 million people.
Reggio is the oldest city in the region, and despite its ancient foundation – Ρηγιον was an important and flourishing colony of Magna Graecia – it boasts a modern urban system, set up after the catastrophic earthquake on December 28, 1908, which destroyed most of the city. The region is subject to earthquakes and tsunami. It is a major economic center for regional services and transport on the southern shores of the Mediterranean.
Reggio, with Naples and Taranto, is home to one of the most important archaeological museums, the prestigious National Archaeological Museum of Magna Græcia, dedicated to Ancient Greece (which houses the famous Bronzes of Riace, rare example of Greek bronze sculpture, which became one of the symbols of the city). Reggio is the seat, since 1907, of the Archeological Superintendence of Bruttium and Lucania. The city has two recently founded universities: the Mediterranea University, and the Università per Stranieri (University for Foreigners). There are also an Academy of Fine Arts (opened in 1967) and a Conservatory of Music (founded in 1927).
The city center, consisting primarily of Liberty buildings, has a linear development along the coast with parallel streets, and the promenade is dotted with rare magnolias and exotic palms. Reggio has commonly used popular nicknames: The city of Bronzes, for the Riace bronzes which are testimonials of its Greek origins; the city of bergamot, which is exclusively cultivated in the region; and the city of Fatamorgana, an optical phenomenon visible in Italy only from the Reggio seaside.
The city was one of the Italian candidates, to become the European Capital of Culture. in 2019.
