What's the difference between living abroad and travelling abroad? In this 2nd installment of my Black Expats series, the ladies of Hong Kong describe the ways in which living in a foreign country differs from going there on vacation.
*************************************************************
As a black travel blogger who is also a serial expat I get the following questions often:
Where is the black expatriate community strongest? What are the best countries for black families to live? What are some African American-friendly countries/ countries that love black people? What are the best places for African-Americans to live abroad? Which are the best countries for black people to visit? What are the best places for black families to live? Which are the best countries for black tourists?
My next videos will attempt to answer these questions! In Episode 1 of my newest video series I'm interviewing young black expatriates living in Hong Kong, a country that is very welcoming to African-American expats.
In this clip, 5 black women shed some light on their journey to Asia, the best thing about living abroad, their fears prior to moving, the reactions from their family and friends, and whether Hong Kong is the best place to live as an African-American expat.

London's Bridges
Since I live in central London it seems a terrible shame not to have done many videos of this fantastic city, so here goes. On the day I managed to get stuck in a couple of traffic jams, and the weather, having started well, turned somewhat grey.
Anyway I managed to include Hammersmith bridge, Albert Bridge, Chelsea Bridge, Vauxhall Bridge, Lambeth Bridge, Westminster Bridge, Waterloo Bridge, Blackfriars Bridge, London Bridge and Tower Bridge. I had to avoid Putney bridge, Battersea Bridge, Southwark Bridge, and the Millennium Bridge due to lack of time and heavy traffic, so perhaps I'll do another video soon.
Can you Identify which bridge is which?? Answers below please....

Driving the Pan-American Highway from Panama to Colombia - Not the Darien Gap, via a Container Ship
Full blog post -
The Darien Gap between Panama (Central America) and Colombia (South America) is a 60 mile break in the Pan-America Highway. A road that connects Alaska at the top of North America to Tierra del Fuego at the bottom of South America. There are no roads through the Darien Gap and you can't drive between these two countries. This means that vehicles have to be shipped.
Here's video of our truck being loaded (stuffed) into a container in Colon, Panama and heading out of the container port in Cartagena, Colombia. Sadly I fudged the footage of the car being driven out of the container in Colombia.
