Colusa is the county seat of Colusa County, California. The population was 5,971 at the 2010 census, up from 5,402 at the 2000 census. Colusi originates from the local Coru Native American tribe, who in the 1840s lived on the opposite side of the Sacramento River.

Driving to Uncles Yard Indian Casino Hotel with Marina Smoke Shop Lots of Orchards Walnut Grape Pears Here in Lake Port California visiting my Uncle and riding with him to one of his yards. On the way you see some really pretty scenery and a lot of Orchards. They grow all kinds of stuff out here. Some of their main ones are Walnuts, grapes, pears, and pecans. This place used to be known as the Walnut Capitol of the World. They also have a pretty big Indian Casino out there that we had to go drive by and see. It is a pretty big casino that has a hotel, drive through smoke shop and even has it's own marina. You can drive your boat right to it and stay in the hotel and gamble a little bit. Pretty cool set up. As we are driving all you see is groves and orchards everywhere. Finally arrive at his yard and didn't have keys so my uncle had to hop the fence and break into his own yard.
