We would like to share with you one of our recommended hotels in England
Farlam Hall in the town of Brampton
Farlam Hall is a superb place to hide away for a relaxed holiday and be thoroughly spoiled, enjoying the pampering attentions of this family-run hotel.
Barry his wife Lynne and sister Helen, make up the friendly team of one of only a handful of British hotels admitted to the prestigious Relais & Châteaux hotel group.
Their presence is felt at all times; serving breakfast, welcoming guests and in the restaurant in an evening. They take a genuine interest in all their guests.
The quality of everything, from the abundant antique furniture to the sumptuous food, is a delight.
The same quality and good taste continue in the bedrooms, which vary greatly in shape and size.
My favorite larger rooms are the Garden Room, a grand, high-ceilinged room with an enormous four-poster bed and the Guest Room, a spacious corner room whose large bathroom sports a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower.
While Farlam Hall is a perfect place to break your journey if you are traveling between England and Scotland, it would be a shame to spend only one night in this charming hotel.
Hadrian's Wall. Carlisle, the Lake District and the Scottish border towns are also popular destinations.
