Mbudya Island is an uninhabited island in Tanzania, north of the country's capital city, Dar es Salaam and is one of the four islands of the Dar es Salaam Marine Reserve . The island lies close to the beach resort and fishing community of Kunduchi and is reachable by means of a 20-minute motorboat ride crossing from the mainland. It is therefore a popular daytrip for both tourists and Tanzanian residents alike, serving as a location for a variety of leisure activities, including snorkelling, sunbathing and hiking.

Kariakoo is a ward in the Ilala District of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It has a population of 9,405 . The name derives from a corruption of that of the British Carrier Corps, that used to be based in this area. Today, Kariakoo is mainly known for its extensive market, that spans several city blocks. The market contributes substantially to Dar es Salaam's food provision as well as a small-scale economy. Until recently Kariakoo was also one of the main dala dala stations in Dar es Salaam, although this has now been moved to south east of Ubungo as the Ubungo bus terminal.

Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete was the fourth President of Tanzania, in office from 2005 to 2015. Water privatization in Dar es Salaam began with the award of a 10-year lease contract signed in 2003 for Dar es Salaam, the largest city and former capital of Tanzania. It was signed between the government of Tanzania and City Water, a consortium consisting of the former British firm Biwater, Gauff Engineers from Germany and a Tanzanian company called Superdoll. The government terminated the lease contract in May 2005 amid mutual allegations of breach of contract, and deported the three top executives of City Water.

You can go to the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar and do water sports, climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Arusha, or go on a safari in the Serengeti. If you plan on doing a safari or climbing the mountain, use @lightsonafrica . They are one of the few tourism companies I encountered in Tanzania that was African owned. Ask for a brutha named Antonio and tell him exactly what you want to see. Bus service is available to/from Arusha, Dodoma, and Mwanza. All roads have unpaved sections, so the going can be slow and uncomfortable.Arusha: Tsh14,000/= on Mtea or Airborn City. Katesh: TSh5,000/=. Dodoma: TSh12,000 on ABC. Dar Es Salaam: TSh25,000 on ABC.
There is train service to/from Dodoma on some days, but it is primarily a freight line (slow) and only third class service (hard benches, substantial overcrowding) is available. TSh4,800/=. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.
