China series: Explore Inner Mongolia - Holy Water

This summer, I went to Inner Mongolia autonomous region in China. My trip started at Arxan, a famous tourist area renowned for its unique natural scenery with a spectacular volcanic landscape.
My first spot in Arxan was Wuliquan. Located at the Southern part of Daxing'anling Prefecture, Wuliquan is a mineral spring surrounded by wetlands. There is a saying in Arxan that the mineral water in Wuliquan is a blessing from the god. Therefore, every year, tons of visitors, even the locals, would climb over the mountains just to taste and touch the “holy water”. Unlike many other similar attractions, “Wuliquan” allows visitors to take away the drinkable mineral waters. If you have a water bottle with you during your visit, you could get some holy water back home!
Right in front of the mouth of “Wuliquan”, a monument stands sturdily. On top of it, there are four Chinese characters “Tian xia qi quan” in candy red, manifesting the magical nature of the spring.

Jiamusi, located in the core of Northeast Asia and in the hinterland of Sanjiang Plain, is the most complete region of the original ecological environment and biodiversity conservation. It has a long history of folk culture tourism, rich resources, advantages of Sino-Russian cross-border trade and tourism resources, special modern agricultural tourism, and splendid snow and ice tourism. Daliangzi River National Forest Park in Tangyuan County is National Biodiversity Protection and collection of gene library; hezhe nationality tour resort is the first national demonstration sites in rural tourism; Heiyupao National Wetland Park in Fujin City is one of the top ten most beautiful wetlands. Sanjiangkou scenic spot in Tongjiang City is famous for being the birthland of rivers, roads, and sea.
With good ecological environment, Jiamusi won the title of China's best eco-friendly city, the top ten largest new Tianfu (nature's storehouse), National Garden City, and National Forest City. This year, Jiamusi was listed in the most beautiful city in China because of its Sino-Russian atmosphere.

秋天的黑龙江，是稻粟飘香，莽原金黄、森林五彩的季节。这里的粮食产量已连续多年突破万亿斤，占全国商品粮产量的十分之一，足够长江以北的中国人食用半年，中国“北大荒”，早已成为天下“大粮仓”。黑龙江的“五花山”是真正的“五花山”，从北到南11个纬度的大面积森林覆盖，是我国森林总面积最多的地区之一。在秋高气爽，生态宜人的季节里，游客会在黑龙江春明景和中看不够上下天光，秋果殷实里感受不完万紫千红。来自西伯利亚的寒流渐渐南下，满目葱郁的群山，一点点、一片片被早霜染成红、黄、紫、橙等颜色，与大自然原有的苍松之绿、桦树之白，形成了万紫千红的“五花山”色彩，虽然只有短短的月余时光，但却是旅游者“东北追秋”乐此不疲的选项。

The grain production has reached half a trillion kilograms for several consecutive years, accounting for one tenth of the national grain output, enough for the Chinese people in the north of the Yangtze River to eat for half a year. “The Great Northern Wilderness in China has already become the big granary in the world. The Mount Wuhua in Heilongjiang is worthy of the name, covering the forests from north to south for 11 degrees of latitude, which is one of the areas with the largest total forest area in our country. In the balmy and pleasant season, tourists can’t get enough of the daylight in spring and the blooming flowers in fall. While the Siberia cold goes south gradually, the early frost dyes lush mountains red, yellow, purple and orange little by little, together with green pines and white birch, forming the colorful Mount Wuhua. Even though it lasts only for months, it is still the fun part that tourists pursuing all the time.
