Londonderry is a town in western Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The town is bordered on the north by the city of Manchester and on the east by the town of Derry. The population was 24,129 at the 2010 census. Londonderry is known for its apple orchards and is home to the headquarters of Stonyfield Farm and partial home to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.
The more densely settled portion of town, where 11,037 people resided at the 2010 census, is defined as the Londonderry census-designated place (CDP) and roughly occupies the eastern and southern parts of town, around New Hampshire Route 102.
The history of the town of Londonderry dates from 1718 when a group of Irish immigrants visited the area then called Nutfield and decided it would be a good site for a community. Four years later, in June 1722, the Nutfield area was incorporated as a township and renamed Londonderry after the city in Ireland.

Derry is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 33,109 at the 2010 census. Although it is a town and not a city, Derry is the fourth most-populous community in the state. The town's nickname, Spacetown, derives from the fact that Derry is the birthplace of Alan Shepard, the first astronaut from the United States in space. Derry was also for a time the home of the poet Robert Frost and his family. The primary settlement in town, where 22,015 people resided at the 2010 census, is defined by the U.S. Census Bureau as the Derry census-designated place (CDP) and includes the densely-populated portions of the town centered on the intersection of New Hampshire Route 28 and New Hampshire Route 102.
Driving the Kancamagus Highway, New Hampshire (NH Route 112)
In October 2014 we travelled to the United States and visited all 6 New England states primarily to see the Fall Colours. Following a rather damp 2 night stay in North Conway, New Hampshire, we joined Route 112 in Conway Village and headed west through the White Mountain National Forest with occasional glimpses of the Swift River on our right.
We filmed the first part of the journey using a Kaiser Baas R1 Car Camera attached to the wind-screen.
I forgot to change the date stamp on the camera which is 5 hours in advance being still on UK time!
The music is the 2nd movement of Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No.9 “From the New World” and is taken from my Deutsche Grammophon 1983 CD recording of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Lorin Maazel.
This is also my very first YouTube upload so please excuse any ‘wobbles’!
New Hampshire Winter Getaway
New Hampshire has a lot to offer. We travelled with friends and shared a condo in Lincoln, NH across from Loon Mountain Resort. The temperature was way below zero so we didn't ski, but we found other things to do and spent time just chilling out.
