Doyline is a village in southwestern Webster Parish in northwestern Louisiana, United States. The population was 841 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Minden Micropolitan Statistical Area. Under a cited cost-saving realignment plan, the Webster Parish School Board closed Union Elementary School in Doyline in 2011, as Doyline High School absorbed the elementary pupils. Vandals broke windows in the abandoned structure, which contained asbestos and black mold. The building was hence razed at a cost of $99,000.The HBO television series True Blood about vampires is filmed in Doyline.

    Lake Bistineau State Park, one of twenty-two state parks in Louisiana, is located on Lake Bistineau, a long and narrow waterway formed in 1800 as a result of extensive flooding created by a large log jam on the nearby Red River. The principal source of Bistineau is Dorcheat Bayou, which originates in southwestern Arkansas and flows through Nevada and Columbia counties before reaching Webster Parish, where it empties into the lake near the village of Doyline. Loggy Bayou, meanwhile, links Bistineau with the Red River.

    Caddo Lake State Park is a state park located in eastern Texas. Caddo Lake, the lake that the state park encompasses, is one of only a handful of natural lakes in Texas. The park consists of 8,253 acres west of the lake itself, in Harrison County, near Karnack, Texas. The lake and surrounding area was drilled for petroleum in the 1900s. The lake was created by a gigantic log jam known as the Great Raft.
