Frederiksborg Castle is a palatial complex in Hillerød, Denmark. It was built as a royal residence for King Christian IV of Denmark-Norway in the early 17th century, replacing an older castle acquired by Frederick II and becoming the largest Renaissance residence in Scandinavia. Situated on three islets in the Slotssøen , it is adjoined by a large formal garden in the Baroque style. After a serious fire in 1859, the castle was rebuilt on the basis of old plans and paintings. Thanks to public support and the brewer J. C. Jacobsen, the building and its apartments were fully restored by 1882 when it was reopened to the public as the Danish Museum of National History. And Dragor is the best view point to see the famous disappeared bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden.
Dragør has many well-preserved historical buildings. The old part of the town is a compact, picturesque maze of alleys with yellow-painted houses, red roofs, and cobblestone streets built in the traditional Danish style. Many of these buildings are hundreds of years old.

In 2001, Copenhagen Harbour merged with the harbour in Malmö to create Copenhagen-Malmö Port. It has several functions, the most important being as a major cruise destination. In 2007 a record 286 cruise ships with 420,000 cruise passengers visited Copenhagen. 120 of these ships either started or ended the cruise in Copenhagen. In 2008 these numbers grew further to 310 cruise ships and 560,000 passengers. As a result of the growth in the cruise industry facilities are being expanded and improved. DENMARK From Copenhagen to Oslo
This video includes Dragør, south of Copenhagen, a small well preserved maritime town. Homes in the village date back to the 18th century and it is a charming village to stroll through. It is near the bridge from Copenhagen to Denmark.Next visit is to Rungstedlund and Karen Blixon's museum. Known by her pen name Isak Dinesen (under which she wrote Out of Africa) Blixen spent most of her life here where she was born in 1885. Next, to Kronborg Castle, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, built by Frederick II in 1585 in order to establish himself as the most powerful king in Scandinavia.
Around 1600, William Shakespeare wrote Hamlet which was situated at Kronborg Castle, and therefore it's the Hamlet venue. Lots of speculation about Hamlet; however, when we visited the castle we were an impromptu audience to a rehearsal of Hamlet....
