Hiking in the highest mountain of the Caribbean, El Pico Duerte. Dominican Republic
Pico Duarte is the highest peak in all the Caribbean islands and is located about 53 miles north-east of the lowest point, Lake Enriquillo. Located on the island of Hispaniola, it lies in the Cordillera Central range, the greatest of the Dominican Republic's mountain chains. The Cordillera Central extends from the plains between San Cristóbal and Baní to the northwestern peninsula of Haiti, where it is known as Massif du Nord. The highest elevations of the Cordillera Central are found in the Pico Duarte and Valle Nuevo massifs.
Living in a Tree House (El Valle, Samana) Episode 1
We took a couple days to create this Dominican Tree House Village Vlog. DTHV is located in the Samana Peninsula. Very interesting experience being that we were away from the City and in a Natural environment, a must for adventurers. The tree houses are well done and safe. The entire staff are very friendly and easy to talk to.
Very Good vibes at the Tree House Village since you are more open to talk to people. We met a couple from Philadelphia that were on their honeymoon. We all decided to go to Playa El Valle which is 40 minutes away on Foot but the hotel provide bicycles and you'll get there in 10 to 15 minutes. We loved every minute of the Ride and it gives you a chance to meet the local people and cherish the Dominican Culture.
You can buy an All Inclusive package that provides all the meals. There are 2 Restaurants, one in the Beach and the other near the Hotel called Emmas Restaurant, which has Wifi :)). We loved both and service is excellent. Look out for Mocha the hotels Mascot lol.
Make sure you Subscribe so you can know more of what to do while in the Area. El Valle, Samana is not more than 2 hours away from Santo Domingo. You can visit 7d7nTravel.net for more Info.
