Wilderness State Park is one of those iconic parks that almost defines Michigan wilderness; it's the natural world at its best, and its here for all of us to support and enjoy. The park is only 10 miles west of Mackinac City, almost in the shadows of the Mackinac bridge. With over 26 miles of shoreline, rustic cabins, and over 250 campsites, Wilderness State Park is a site to behold.
Let's Visit Port Austin, MI
In this video, I head up to Port Austin, MI, located near the tip of the Thumb of Michigan. I check out the downtown area as well as walk out on the pier reaching out into Lake Huron. You can also see a distant breakwater lighthouse from afar.
Let's Visit Holly Recreation Area
Located in Groveland Township, MI (east of Holly, MI), Holly Recreation Area offers great hiking, fishing, and swimming opportunities. The recreation area also offers a campground where you can stay for a night or two. I check out some of the different areas in the park including some of the lakes and hiking trails.
