Burgos - Cidade, capital da província de Burgos (província), em Castilla-León comunidad autónoma (comunidade autônoma), no norte da Espanha . Está localizado nas encostas mais baixas de uma colina de castelo com vista para o rio Arlanzón, a cerca de 800 metros acima do nível do mar . Fundada em 884 como um posto avançado oriental do reino asturiano pelo conde castelhano Diego Rodríguez Porcelos, tornou-se a capital do condado e, mais tarde, do reino de Castela. Ojén e Istán, el esplendor del agua. Málaga

El término municipal de Ojén entre Sierra Alpujata y Sierra Blanca, es un rincón de gran belleza natural. El pueblo, conserva su fisonomía de casas escalonadas en la ladera que denotan su origen árabe, y en conjunto está considerado como uno de los pueblos más bonitos de la provincia.
Istán guarda en su trazado urbano la memoria de su pasado andalusí, calles estrechas y empinadas con casas de fachadas encaladas y rematadas por una cubierta de teja árabe, que donde mejor se deja sentir es en la parte alta del pueblo, donde aún se conserva parte de una torre de la antigua fortaleza árabe. Su término municipal forma parte del P. N. de la Sierra de Las Nieves, declarado por la Unesco Reserva de la Biosfera.

Monasteries of Spain - Road Trip Spain, Portugal, Old Monastery in Jerez de la Frontera
After road trips to Rota, Spain, Gibraltar, and then Ronda, Spain, we are back on the road to Portugal. Beautiful Spanish landscape in the Andalusian region of the country dominates the roadsides, but it is a stop at a centuries-old Monastery in Jerez de la Frontera that captures our attention on the trip back.
The storied Spanish history is evident here, as the architecture dates back to the Gothic period, yet has many touches of influence over the centuries, including some modern touches as the result of numerous modernizations since the French ransacked the place in 1810.
A stunning sunset makes the drive back to Portugal that much more special, once we're back in the car and hitting the road. Nothing like driving through Spain while watching the sun set over Portugal. Just awesome.

Section 4 of the Camino de Santiago on the French Way (Camino Francés) starts in splendid Burgos, hometown of 'El Cid' and considered the Gothic capital of Spain, and finishes in the village of Sahagún, in the heart of the Meseta.

The Castle of Vimianzo , also known as Torres de Martelo , is located at the entrance of the town of Vimianzo , in the town hall of the same name, province of La Coruña . At present it hosts a permanent exhibition of popular crafts.
Castillo de Vimianzo is in very good condition. It conserves parts of century XIII , although the majority belong to the centuries XIV and XV. The building has irregular polygonal floor plan adapting to the terrain. It consists of three rectangular defensive towers around a courtyard of weapons in addition to the tribute tower , with its cantilevered battlements. The diamond-studded battlements that once surrounded the entire castle are only preserved in the Tower of Homage and in the walk of one of the walls.
Its perimeter is surrounded in its entirety by a deep moat. It also preserves the way of round and in the doorway of entrance to the patio you can see the shield with the head of wolf of Moscoso.
The closeness of the fortress to the coast allowed him to control the commercial routes of the North Sea , the sardine and salt business, and rescue the booty of ships that were wrecked on these coasts.

The World's Most Dangerous Hike - El Caminito Del Rey
In this action packed episode of our road trip through Spain, we hop on a boat tour in Barbate, and then drive to El Caminito Del Rey, where we hiked the infamous El Chorro also known as the death hike (honestly, go google it). After a good nights rest we drove to Malaga to learn how to dodge a bull in the ring, then explored a movie set in Almeria where they used to film old spaghetti western movies!
Note on Bull Fighting:
Our team had a very unique opportunity to visit a bullfighting school and learn about the history of the Corrida De Torros. This isn't something that tourists can pay and do. The young men who live and train to become professional bullfighters are part of a cultural tradition that has been around for over a thousand years, a tradition that is very controversial. No animals were harmed in the making of this video.
