Lynnewood Hall drone footage
First video of the year. I went and visited the abandoned mansion in elkins park, PA called Lynnewood Hall. This has been in my plans for a long time. It is only 18 minutes from North Philadelphia. Here is a summary of his history:
Lynnewood Hall is a 110-room Neoclassical Revival mansion in Elkins Park, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, designed by architect Horace Trumbauer for industrialist Peter A. B. Widener between 1897 and 1900. Considered the largest surviving Gilded Age mansion in the Philadelphia area, it housed one of the most important Gilded Age private art collections of European masterpieces and decorative arts assembled by Widener and his younger son Joseph.
Peter A. B. Widener died at Lynnewood Hall at the age of 80 on November 6, 1915, after prolonged poor health. [1] He was predeceased by his elder son George Dunton Widener and grandson Harry Elkins Widener, both of whom died when Titanic sank in 1912.

As the verdant heart of Ardrossan, Col. Robert Montgomery's legendary 750-acre estate on Philadelphia's Main Line, Albermarle is a property like no other. Its fascinating history as the center for the Montgomery family's equestrian pursuits epitomizes the Main Line's Golden Age. Its transition into a magnificent residence with guest houses, party barn and clock-tower office continues its legacy as world-class property. Surrounded by conservancy land, Albermarle underwent a meticulous renovation supervised by top architects and artisans to become a very private, very sophisticated country estate designed for fine living, entertaining and recreation. Its landscaping and hardscaping are breathtaking, shaping the vistas and gardens that enhance the property in every direction all year long.

Crossing USA Canada Border by Greyhound
Going through customs Canada to USA by Greyhound
The bus stops on Canada side.
You have to take everything with you: all coats, sweaters, books, carry-ons etc.
The bus has to be completely clear when it gets inspected.
While you are inside the customs office someone comes on the bus and inspects it, I saw one guy leave a small bag in one of the compartments. He ended up being taken to the side and questioned about why he did that.
So, the bus stops you get off, take all belongings with you, they unload your luggage at the side, and you take that with you too, inside to the gates.
You have a declaration form that you've already filled out, which they want to see, along with ID, Passports etc.
And they will ask you a few questions. You put your bag up to go through a scanner of some sort. (they dont help with this)
They may do a random check of luggage, and they send you back to a secondary gate for more questions, it depends on the customs agent that first questions you.
So after you do that, you keep walking, through this door to this waiting room, and you are now officially in the United States now.
You walk outside and the bus is still in the same spot as when you got off the bus, so it is still in the Canada across the border.
So you cant walk back and get on, cause now you are in America and the bus is still in Canada.
Once it has been cleared and inspected, it will move forward a few feet and be in the USA too.
The luggage is loaded back up again, and your good to go again. I think most of the passengers actually loaded their luggage back onto the bus, the bottom compartments. there were no additional greyhound attendants to help the driver.
so once you're all done waiting for the few people who always manage to take longer than everyone else, your good to go. (minus the people who were held back for any reason)
