The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Etnesjøen. Other villages in the municipality include Skånevik and Fjæra.   • 1. Langfoss Waterfall Etne Municipality
    Langfossen is a waterfall located in the municipality of Etne in Hordaland county, Norway. The waterfall is located about 5 kilometres southwest of the village of Fjæra. The water falls down a towering mountain, a total distance of about 612 metres before the water leaps out into Åkrafjorden at the base of the mountain. European route E134 runs along the base of the waterfall, making access very easy. The World Waterfall Database declared this waterfall to be one of the best in the world. In March 2011 CNN/Budget Travel sat Langfossen as one of the worlds ten most beautiful waterfalls. The waterfall is one of the few in Norway that has not been used in hydroelectric power generation, so it is still in its natural state.

    Stødle Church is a parish church in Etne municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. It is located in the northern part of the village of Etnesjøen. The church is part of the Etne parish in the Sunnhordland deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, stone and wood church was built around the year 1160. The church has been renovated and expanded several times over the centuries, and it currently seats about 245 people.This was the home church of Erling Skakke, a Norwegian Jarl, who lived in Stødle during the 12th century.

    Låtefossen or Låtefoss is a waterfall located in the municipality of Odda in Hordaland County, Norway. The 165-metre tall waterfall is unique and thus it is a well-known tourist attraction in the area. It is special in that it consists of two separate streams flowing down from the lake Lotevatnet, and as they fall, the join together in the middle of the waterfall, just before going under the Norwegian National Road 13, making for a spectacular view as one drives over the old, stone, six-arched bridge.

    Buarbreen or Buerbreen is a glacier in the municipality of Odda in Hordaland county, Norway. It is an offshoot of the large Folgefonna glacier. The small glacial arm reaches down into the Buerdalen valley, just 6 kilometres southwest of the town of Odda. The glacier is split into two parts, one on either side of a small mountain peak. Both sides drain into the Jordalselvi river which flows out through the valley into the lake Sandvinvatnet.
