Parc Astérix is a theme amusement park in France, based on the comic book series Asterix . With two million visitors yearly, Parc Asterix is the second theme park near Paris after Disneyland and its 11 million visitors yearly. It is situated approximately 35 km north of Paris, 32 km from Disneyland Paris and 20 km from the historic Château de Chantilly, in the commune of Plailly, in the département of Oise. Opened in 1989, the park is operated by Compagnie des Alpes. It is especially well known in France for its large variety of roller coasters , and has begun incorporating rides and themes from historic cultures such as the Gauls, the Romans, the ancient Greeks and recently the Egyptians, but always in the visual style of the stories.

The Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte is a baroque French château located in Maincy, near Melun, 55 kilometres southeast of Paris in the Seine-et-Marne département of France. Built between 1658 to 1661 for Nicolas Fouquet, Marquis de Belle Île, Viscount of Melun and Vaux, the superintendent of finances of Louis XIV, the château was an influential work of architecture in mid-17th-century Europe. At Vaux-le-Vicomte, the architect Louis Le Vau, the landscape architect André le Nôtre, and the painter-decorator Charles Le Brun worked together on a large-scale project for the first time. Their collaboration marked the beginning of the Louis XIV style combining architecture, interior design and landscape design. The garden's pronounced visual axis is an example of this style.

Most notably, he was the landscape architect who designed the park of the Palace of Versailles, and his work represents the height of the French formal garden style, or jardin à la française. Prior to working on Versailles, Le Nôtre collaborated with Louis Le Vau and Charles Le Brun on the park at Vaux-le-Vicomte. His other works include the design of gardens and parks at Chantilly, Fontainebleau, Saint-Cloud and Saint-Germain. His contribution to planning was also significant: at the Tuileries he extended the westward vista, which later became the avenue of the Champs-Élysées and comprise the Axe historique.

Hello and welcome to another New York Habitat vacation rental video tour.

Our tour today takes us to a studio apartment ( ) located in the 17th district of Paris.

Let's go check it out!

Located on a calm street, this apartment is found on the ground floor. As you enter the apartment, you will find yourself in the living area. This furnished living area is equipped with a double size bed.

Just off the living area is the bathroom. This tiled bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and shower.

Next is the kitchen area. This area is equipped with a small kitchenette with all amenities needed for preparing meals, including a microwave and a coffee maker. You'll also find a small couch and a dining table with chairs in this room.

Now that we have seen the apartment, let's head out and explore the surrounding neighborhood!

Les Batignolles is a bustling neighborhood with many shops and boutiques. Sprinkled throughout the neighborhood you will also find a number of small parks giving you the perfect place to relax, read a book or even have a picnic!

A beautiful church and a must see in the neighborhood is the église Saint-Joseph des Epinettes. Constructed between 1909 and 1910 by architect Louis Thomas, this church today still contains its original pipe organ.

Also within walking distance and located in the 18th district of Paris, is the Montmarte Cemetery.

Built below street level in an old quarry, this beautiful cemetery and popular tourist attraction is the resting place of many famous people.
