The Göta Canal is a Swedish canal constructed in the early 19th century. It formed the backbone of a waterway stretching some 614 km , linking a number of lakes and rivers to provide a route from Gothenburg on the west coast to Söderköping on the Baltic Sea via the river Göta älv and the Trollhätte kanal, through the large lakes Vänern and Vättern. The canal itself is 190 km long, of which 87 km were dug or blasted, with a width varying between 7–14 m and a maximum depth of about 3 m . It has 58 locks and can accommodate vessels up to 32 m long, 7 m wide and 2.8 m in draft. Göta Canal is a sister canal of Caledonian Canal in Scotland, which was also constructed by Thomas Telford.

Läckö Castle is a medieval castle in Sweden, located on Kållandsö island on Lake Vanern, 25 kilometers north of Lidköping in Västergötland. Brynolf Algotsson, Bishop of Skara, laid the foundations for a fortified castle in 1298 originally as a fort that consisted of two or three houses surrounded by a wall. After a fire during the 1470s, the fort was expanded by bishop Brynolf Gerlachsson. After the reformation in 1527, King Gustav Vasa took possession. Field Marshal Jacob Pontusson De la Gardie was granted the property in 1615. Field Marshal de la Gardie embarked on an extensive building spree, including the third floor of the keep. Kosterhavet National Park is the first national marine park in Sweden, inaugurated on September 2009. It is part of the Skagerrak sea and is located in Strömstad and Tanum municipalities in Bohuslän, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It consists of the sea and shores around the Koster Islands, excluding everything else on the islands. In the north, it borders the Norwegian marine park of Ytre Hvaler. Kosterhavet National Park is home to Sweden's largest seal colony.

From Copenhagen to Stockholm - Road trip de 15 jours à travers le Danemark et la Suède

Nous voilà rentrés d'un très beau road trip de 15 jours qui nous a mené de Copenhague au Danemark à Stockholm, traversant ainsi tout le sud de la Suède.
De Copenhague, la capitale du design, nous avons traversé l'Øresundsbron pour rejoindre Malmö en Suède, puis remonté vers le nord le long de la côte ouest jusqu'à Göteborg et au Bohuslän. Le voyage s'est poursuivi vers l'est, traversant de grandes forets et longeant les grands lacs Suédois, jusqu'à atteindre Stockholm. Puis retour à la case départ à Copenhague.
