Callaway Gardens is a 6,500-acre resort complex located in Pine Mountain, Georgia, just outside Columbus, Georgia. The destination draws over 750,000 visitors annually. Callaway Gardens was founded in 1952 by Cason J. and Virginia Hand Callaway to promote and protect native azalea species. His son, Bo Callaway, helped develop and run the garden. Today, Callaway Gardens features a wide variety of recreational attractions including a large enclosed butterfly habitat, the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center. The native palm Sabal minor maintains one of its northernmost populations in the area.

The Little White House was the personal retreat of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States, located in the Historic District of Warm Springs, Georgia. He first came to Warm Springs in 1924 for polio treatment, and liked the area so much that, as Governor of New York, he had a home built on nearby Pine Mountain. The house was finished in 1932. Roosevelt kept the house after he became President, using it as a presidential retreat. He died there on April 12, 1945, three months into his fourth term. The house was opened to the public as a museum in 1948. The Andersonville National Historic Site, located near Andersonville, Georgia, preserves the former Camp Sumter , a Confederate prisoner-of-war camp during the final twelve months of the American Civil War. Most of the site lies in southwestern Macon County, adjacent to the east side of the town of Andersonville. As well as the former prison, the site contains the Andersonville National Cemetery and the National Prisoner of War Museum. The prison was made in February 1864 and served to April 1865. The site was commanded by Captain Henry Wirz, who was tried and executed after the war for war crimes. The park is named for former U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who sought a treatment for his paralytic illness in nearby Warm Springs at the Little White House. The western portion of the park, formerly named Pine Mountain State Park, was named a National Historic Landmark in 1997. F.D. Roosevelt State Park is Georgia's largest state park.Several structures in the park were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the Great Depression, including a stone swimming pool and Roosevelt's favorite picnic spot at Dowdell's Knob, overlooking the valley below. Real Time Ride Through Flovilla, GA

I know all of you have been waiting for this! This movie has everything, bad acting, poor videography, horrible lighting, lack of drama, animal actors, motorcycles, no high speed chases, no police and we didn't even catch a train. Hillary Clinton once used this movie as an excuse to send unsecured emails. Obama himself banned this movie as cruel and unusual punishment at GITMO. Osama Bin Laden was not actually shot, they showed him this movie and he died of boredom. That's right, now you too can know what it's like to be tortured by the mafia for forty fun filled minutes.

You may want to watch the whole video If you're insanely bored or tied to a chair being tortured, hey, either way you can enjoy the scenery!

My wife took the 2010 Patrol out and followed me on a fairly long ride. My Son followed along on his BMW R75/6. All the bikes did well and we had a few kids stop to say hello to Benny when we fueled up the Patrol.

My wife is getting more comfortable riding, she actually ran 55 MPH on this trip a couple of times. Takes a while to get used to a Ural, but she's doing pretty good now.

We probably won't be posting too many videos this long. But on this one I sync'd the view from both helmet cameras and you can see the view from each rider's perspective as we go. I thought it was pretty neat so I figured I'd share the entire ride real time. If you are absolutely bored (or being tortured by the mafia) you may watch the entire video. Otherwise, skip to 26:00 to see the pixelated kids meet Benny at the Valero.

Indian springs history:

Indian Springs was really beautiful and the campgrounds had a ton of shade. With the temps unseasonably reaching triple digits, the shade was a must! Though there was no swimming in the lake, there were plenty of folks enjoying kayaks and small boats. Jackson and I checked out the springs and the stinky water that folks have been coming here for thousands of years to get. I couldn't bring myself to drink any, but it was nice and cold!

This weeks camping tips segment is about family. One of the many great things about RVing is the ability to visit friends and family. Rather than making a special trip you can simply include them in your RV adventure and possibly even save some money on camping fees.

We visited with my cousin Melissa who was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer a few months ago. Along with some friends we built her a swing set for her daughter since she can't travel much anymore. If you would like to help her in the fight of her life please share whatever you can here:

Gold Prospecting in Georgia - Pickers and Small Gold

I went gold prospecting up near Dahlonega Georgia and found some nice color in my gold pan. There were a couple pieces of flower gold and other pieces. Metal detecting for rare coins and relics. Minelab.
