1. Foss State ParkFoss Foss State Park is a 1,749-acre Oklahoma state park located on Foss Lake, in southwestern Custer County, Oklahoma, near the city of Foss. Recreational activities include hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, boating, swimming and camping. Facilities include 110 RV campsites, 10 of which have full-hookups and 100 that are semi-modern. All sites are paved and offer 30 amp or 50 amp service plus water. Big rig sites, shaded sites and 35 tent sites are also available. Foss State Park has an equestrian camp with a multi-purpose trail for horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking. Horse rental is not available. It is the principal relief system in the Southern Oklahoma Aulacogen, being the result of a failed continental rift. These were exposed and rounded by weathering during the Pennsylvanian & Permian Periods. The eastern end of the mountains offers 1,000 feet of topographic relief in a region otherwise dominated by gently rolling grasslands. A trip to Boiling Springs State Park on a cold winter day. I walked to the N. Canadian River through a forest with some really cool and old trees. I wanted to do additional hikes, but the weather turned against me and it started raining pretty hard so I had to curtail my visit.

TEXOLA OKLAHOMA-GHOST TOWN-DOUBLE D RV PARK-HOW MUCH LONGER?-EP33
We stopped for a 2 day stop at the Double D RV Park in Texola Oklahoma to be in position for the first ever “2018 RV Nomad Fest Rally we were going to.
We actually ended up staying only one day, because we got ants in our pants, emailed the Nomad Fest rally officials, offered to join the volunteer helper pool” and were instructed to point the bus southward and show up ASAP.
As we bummed around looking at the obvious “ghost town in the making” happening right in front of our eyes, Sue was busy clicking photos and taking video’s. I remember thinking to myself, how the heck is she going to make those photos and video look like anything interesting that someone would want to look at?

Located just west of Bartlesville in the heart of the Osage Nation in northeast Oklahoma, Osage Hills State Park is a prime example of Oklahoma's natural beauty. With lush forests, rocky bluffs and serene waters, the park boasts 1,100 acres of scenery. Hiking and Fishing are favorite some activities in Osage Hills State Park. A total of 23 tent sites and 20 RV sites with water and electricity hookups are options for a stay at Osage Hills State Park. Visitors can relax in one of eight cabins in the park, which were constructed of native stone by the Civilian Conservation Corp in the '30s. The park offers a picnic area and picnic pavilions, as well as comfort stations and a facility with modern bathhouses.
